In a weird way…. It’s great, right?

Glad you found a good one. I’m feeling like I will never find someone. It’s like a big trash heap. Good news is, I finally have peace back in my life. I didn’t realize how long it’s been missing.

Fair. Alarmingly… it does seem to be the same story over and over. On the other side of things, it seems to be all the same in the dating world. Most of these women that put themselves back on the market have this unrealistic view of themselves, and their future partners. It’s like I check all the boxes, but I’m only 5’10… so I guess I’ll die alone. lol

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. (I’m sorry it happened to you). Strong chance mine was cheating as well. I do agree, if she is… take her down. But I do remember how hard it is seeing it/ hearing it here. This is a fresh wound for the guy.

My ex took me to court, because she wanted to do something that was clearly not allowed in our custody agreement. I will not bore you all with the story, but the female judge wouldn’t even really listen to me. The judge already had her decision made before the case was heard. When I brought up the custody agreement… the Judge said “well, I guess you should get a new agreement then”. lol. Wtf!

I went this this all about 2 years ago. I used this space to vent as well. Please disregard all of the people that are going to tell you that she’s cheating.

For me/him… I painted the room, the color of his choice, before he moved in. I hung LED lights, which Mom had a big problem with. Let him pick out his furniture. Went appliance shopping with him, ect. Let them chose things they like, and make them feel involved. Best of luck.

My guy, the last 6 months has been a roller coaster. Do you think it will get crazier since she filled? Just wondering? She should be happy. Have been hitting the gym, it’s been my place of peace.

That’s 100. When I reflect back to when she and I started dating, I feel like it was all a lie. She “loved” all of the same things, and wanted to do all the same things that I did. It seemed like the day after the wedding, I couldn’t do a damn thing right.

Amazing. This is my life. She has no friends… my fault. She is unhappy…. My fault. She didn’t lead some fantasy life, before she met me 20 years ago… my fault. Now she acts like she’s 22…. And I’m an ass for being upset. She just needs her space. She’s not cut out for marriage. (After 18 years).

My situation was friendly, when my Stbx wanted me to use her lawyer. That all changed when I got my own. Get yourself some representation ASAP. Please trust me.

One day at a time. I strung together a couple of good ones. Been having a tough time today. All I can do is try to remain positive. Keep busy. Keep going, brother. We are all going to get through this

That’s how I kinda feel. She was actually okay to me tonight. I was polite, but not really engaging. Do you think they come back, after they realize the grass isn’t greener? There’s been so much damage done. I don’t think I could ever do it.

For me… it’s a little different. I don’t want her back. I’ve realized that the person I’m chasing, has not existed for years. Maybe ever. This group has helped. I wish you well in your journey, friend.

It’s gonna be hard for me to make it till the end. She knows how to push my buttons. I just need to rise above, and not let it get to me. It’s funny all of the things that I am learning about our relationship. Things I never realized. Like I now believe that she loves chaos. As I mentioned, I thought things were getting better for the past two years, but I was sent giving her the opportunity to have that chaos. Good luck to the next Fella. I’ll have to warn him about her right cross.

Glad you are okay. I had a couple of things thrown at me Easter Day. Nothing too serious. (Outside of the fact that people should not try to harm each other). I contacted my lawyer immediately and she warned me that she would most likely file a PFA against me. Needless to say. Never getting married again.

It was the, I love you… but not in love with you. While our relationship was not perfect, I believed it to be getting better over the past two years. She says she doesn’t think she’s cut out for marriage. I also believe it’s part of a midlife crisis. She is reverting back to all the things she used to do 20 years ago.

This all makes a lot of sense. Mainly, because it’s my life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

One of the things my STBX keeps doing is saying “I’m no longer in love with…”. When speaking to people about our situation. I asked my therapist about this, based around the fact that she could use kinder words… he says she’s trying to convince herself. Like she told my Mother this. Anyhow, why would you need to convince yourself, when you’re the one that wants the divorce. You either do or you don’t. She’s burning down the world, but needs to convince herself? LOL.

She brought up something that happened almost 14 years ago, that she told me to do. When I told her that she told me to do something, and I did it…. She said I should have known better to actually do it. LOL. You can’t make this up.

lol. I heard that she doesn’t “mourn the death”. This weekend. I think it’s In the lyrics of a Taylor Swift song.

As far as me trying to figure out the next steps… She is telling me “I don’t want to be married.” But… she wants a separation, and not a divorce. In the past week and a half, she said I should look into getting a new place. (But it needs to be in a certain area). So I looked into building a home, and getting an apartment while I wait for completion. (If I decide to do this). This AM, she said I could stay in our home. Things change daily. As far as her going to counseling, she is very apprehensi…

Long story short, I had a problem with drinking. I’ve been sober for 2 years. She was going to leave me before I quit. During that time, I’ve become a better Father and Husband. Unfortunately we really haven’t focused on our relationship, basically ever. I currently have a therapist, been seeing him for about 2 months. She is steadfast in saying that she does not want to work on fixing the relationship. As far as the separation situation, I initially asked her what she wanted to do. She said div…

I tend to think it’s more around the second option. I used to be not the greatest partner. I changed things around 2 years ago. She told me that she was going to leave then, but I changed. She said the emotional connection never came back.

Thank You. I’ve thought about trying this, but it’s so damn hard being in the same house. She swears there is currently nobody else, but she seems to be using the cheating/ getting ready for someone else playbook.
