Your thought process is so similar to mine. I also started questioning Why Now when I saw this; its not like incel violence has just been introduced to our living reality. I think you re on the right track. It IS their way of acknowledging - upcoming - attacks on women. The problem is these attacks are not just caused by incelness, but the patriarchy at large. By singling out these individuals and their rottenness (and rightly so), they divert our attention away from fighting the system and ever…

Hey I also went to an all womens college in the south and btw it was the only place/ time period in my life where I felt safe and sane the most. I feel sick too seeing this unfolding in reality and confirming that I wasn’t too paranoid to have thought of the possible extent of their depravity. I hope my school n all other women focused spaces will be on high alert now that these incident are happening more and more often 😨

“In the case of 40-year-old gunman Scott Paul Beierle, there were countless warning signs. The man who opened fire inside Hot Yoga Tallahassee — killing two women and injuring four more before committing suicide — had previously been fired from multiple teaching jobs, barred from bars and apartment buildings, and authored a 70,000 word revenge fantasy about a boy turned serial killer, according to the report.” After years of being in abusive relationships and finally wisening up, can’t I just go…

He claimed he was "somewhat autistic" and that's why it's hArD tO bE eMpAtHeTic.After YEARS of trying to diagnose and fIx him and minimize the damages these "symptoms" had on my mental well being, my hindsight is that I should have just left. I was in a similar situation 2 years back. It was toward the end of my 11+year relationship and 9year marriage. His whole world and mine were 99% intertwined, financial, emotional, mental, etc. It felt almost impossible but I needed to stick to my intuition so I did these 2 things. I found them so so crucial to me being fully detached from him. A) Take stock of all the annoying shit about him and how it makes you feel. This will cement your resolve to stick to your intuition. B) Do one thing a da…

Reminds me of this white dude sitting next to me at an Asian fusion bar downtown. He was bragging how he knew the food here was authentic (mind you its Asian fusion cuisine—how the hell the food can be authentic??) because he ate something similar when he was at an authentic Chinese restaurant in Tokyo 🥴🥴

I see. I didn’t realize that he was alt right. I just moved to the US and so I’m a little behind on a lot of topics. What he said seemed to make sense and in line with my personal beliefs I didn’t realize the problematic ideas behind, at least through this podcast. Will check out the podcast you recommended. Thank you!

I know we generally dislike his fanbase and ideology but I came across this dialogue today and I think he made some valid points such as how Tinder (among other things) is a machine that’s turning our monogamous culture into a polygamous one. I also enjoy his commentaries on contemporary dating culture it especially regarding hookup/ ONS/ dating app scene: “We allow our culture to be run by the pathetic fantasies of immature, adolescent delusion” I'm curious what are your thoughts on this?

My theory is that in his mind, OP is “wayyy out of his league”. I know this is redpill language but this is how his brain registered it; but because of the scrotastic nature at the core, instead of appreciating her, scrote thought he was “it” and tried to branch out 🥴

Im with you! The response doesn’t sound like a “woman” wrote it 🤔 EDIT: Especially the “you know why? Because you care” part. The tone sounds so forced as if taken from some low budget movie script. Only women in movies sound like this.

This. What they did changed us on a biological level. Thats why we react. Thats why we have “triggers” that intrude our lives. While they are doing nothing to help us heal and reintegrate the ugly past, scrotes will expect you to participate in their lie gaslighting yourself (“you nEeD to…”) and also themselves to absolve any sense of guilt 🙃 I think this whole Forgiveness thing is taken from Buddhism but in the wrong way. Yes. This is just standard HR process. I have a note in my Bear note app for each and everyone of them. If something they said that struck me weird and I didn't know why I put it in the file... it's great to have all your feelings and evidences out on a page where you can see them. Almost everyone's note has the same pattern, started out poetic 😪 then the subtle negging ensued when I seemed 'hooked' emotionally and then full on triangulation and talking about how younger girls are more 'liberate…

Of course she would say that. Every liberal pickme I met has a delusional tendency to pride themselves on their ability to bargain with patriarchy and the opposite sex. If I don’t demand physical attractiveness from him he won’t from me The delusion being that they re considered equal to men and that the world is fair. Also, her being a psych. major doesn’t give her the right to diagnose someone as being healthy or unhealthy.

THIS. I'm an immigrant who obtained her status via marriage. I did the application myself and have read everything about this subject online, in their information package forward and backward multiple times. The IRS issues SHOULD NOT affect her application at all as the only thing you need to prove with USCIS is that your marriage is TRUE, based on "love" and not just as a means for you to obtain a green card. It's the least that she's entitled to as his spouse. I have bad feelings about her cas…

I had the same thought when watching the last episode of Friends: Rachel gave up her job in PARIS with LOUIS VUITTON to be with Ross??? Because he confessed to her at the airport??? I was like ???? That's just manipulative!!! If Louis Vuitton offered me a job in Paris, I would be GONE. I hate how they always try to groom us, using a character with beauty, charm, drive, a dream career, who "later on realizes her relationship / family is more important" blerghhh

I used to be like her, I thought as long as they're not mY tYPe I am not going to catch feelings. Now I realize that we--especially if we're vulnerable enough to be part of the hook-up culture, can be subjected to feelings with just any mofo that exhibit certain actions and play the psychology game on us. The way to not catch feelings? Get out of the hook-up culture and work on yourself lady. It's not about someone being your tYpE or not. That's some scrote logic which they use when they need to…

My exhusband of 7 years exhibited similar behavior. At the beginning of the pandemic he asked me what I thought of the severity of the situation, since he was worried for his “friend” and needed the info to comfort her who was overwhelmed by what was happening... I'd say that this is THE MINIMUM! Depends on how fucked-up and/ or exploitative the guy is as well. I was married (no wedding 🤡) to a pedophilic pseudo-entrepreneur whose goal is to reach $X of net worth in a short amount of time. Imagine the amount of specialized therapy / research / personal AND business coaching I had to perform in addition to the above items.

I get skeptical of even seemingly innocuous guys who say they only watch the seemingly innocuous stuffs like studio ghibli. What if they (very likely) consume other things as well and are just using those shows to virtue signal ?? Especially they as a demographic have very very low self control and easily get hooked on seemingly okay at first and then increasingly depraved things. I have never met a guy that has a few brush strokes with anime (Sailor moon, studio ghibli, pokemon, etc.) and then …

I don’t have a kid yet but I started doing this for my sister. Its only been a couple of months but the result is astounding ♥️ I didn’t have to say much about FDS principles to her but she already started saying No to offers and friends who aren’t worth it, and she keeps her eyes on her career and personal growth now only instead of who “notices her” at parties 🥰 THANK GOD 🥲

I think staying silent can be detrimental to your health, as your intuition informed you, and also I admire that you're very brave to have stood up to protect your truth. The backlash feels harsh on your stress physiology right now and you might want to counter-act it by taking control of your daily life experiences. Specifically design your day as to add NEW experiences where you feel POSITIVE and YOURSELF. If you can, unplug from it all for a little bit. You can always come back. This happened…

I used to live in a developing South East Asian country, the number of Japanese men migrating there every year is STAGGERING, building factories, offices, marrying women from my country. This had me thinking A/ men literally are so desperate. B/ perhaps soon Japan as well as other developed countries will be rid of all the men 🤔 Not only Japanese btw, but also Korean, Chinese, American men are migrating in troves to developing countries to “invest”, while we all know what they re looking for 🙂

I’m on phase 2 of No Contact: narc ex tried to reach out fOr wORk rEaSOn because we still own a business together, which Im also dissolving. I put a communicator person between us so I don’t speak with him directly anymore. This month I also need to find a coach with whom I can feel safe discussing my dreams and plans with. Short version: we re lied to. Long version: Its sad really each generation we re often led to believe “it’s different now. We have progressed. love/ marriage is different now” Most girls in my generation in my circle and social media often act like they invent love (I did this too) and just because scrotes shapeshift into forms different from previous generations doesnt mean we re excluded from terrible treatments.

STOP EXCUSING MEN'S BEHAVIOUR. STOP JUSTIFYING THEIR BULLSHIT. STOP NORMALISING ABUSE WITH EXCUSES. STOP TREATING THEM LIKE CHILDREN. I wanna run this in a big ass ad in Times Square. Some day when I have more funding, maybe I will.

No I didn't realize that. Most victims/ survivors of Narcissistic abuse are almost always asked. Why didn't you escape? Why didn't you scream? Why didn't you fight back? Surely at some point you must realize you were attacked/ manipulated. Truth is, we don't know why. If you're genuinely interested, Dr. Ramani on Youtube has better explanations.

Im suspecting the “[suggesting A action] .. if you re okay with it” then you said No. Then the suggestion pops up again also with the “if you re okay with it” for the Xth time. This gave you the illusion of respecting your boundaries.

Imagine if scrotes were treated in every aspect of life as if it was a university application process where only a % is supposed to get through. If he was unkempt, useless and/ or violent, he would be rejected maybe by an elected council of women from ever entering the dating pool. Imagine the ensuing madness of these scrotes, and the power structure held by the ruling elites would be so destabilized. I founded a tech business and virtually every scrote from OLD’s opener was : “what is your idea? Can I see it? You raised investment? Can you prove it?” Not even a Hi Hello How are you... It told me how obsessed/ bothered they are at what I was able to accomplish that they had to get it out right away 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes and it's so tricky to know that's what they actually want. They want all the benefits without even the bare minimum of effort. If you want anything, you have to do it yourself. If you complain, you're spoiled and annoying. "Buuuut I just want you to fall in love with who I am". Dude you scroll Facebook endlessly and watch anime all day. No one should fall in love with that mess. They possibly would never in love with me without my makeup and expect me to respect their mediocre ass ugghhhh

Wow my ex-scrote-husband checked every single one of these list 😲 When I asked him about being 50/50 on what went wrong and having half the accountability he said no he didn’t do anything I started it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Why it was so difficult for me to discern that he was manipulative by my feelings is that Im used to being treated that way by the adults in my family. These men 🤯 I got out recently and I still feel like you said, all squeezed out. Every single last drop of me! I actually did this for most of 2020 (my relationship was 11 years long) and it has saved me from that situation. The moment scrote told me, “what do you think of polyamory?” Something in my head clicked, “gotta parachute outta here 🪂” Now Im working toward shedding that layer of detachment because it somewhat has kept me quite numb 🥺 if any of you has any tips on how to overcome this period and regaining joy I would love to know

Eeek 😧 I worked with and mentored this girl who later went on a date with my ex right after my breakup 🤢 She also believed his side of the story that I was a “gold digger” Given I nowhere was as invested as “Sasha” but the betrayal stung me badly and served as a caution for me to ruthlessly vet everyone.

I partly agree. I think if you marry #only for love then you re naive and screwed, like I was. The point of the invention of the concept modern “love” is to “empower” individual choices. While one can argue that it has empowered women too but it did more so for men than women. For women it has alienated us from certain parts of traditions (courting, for example) that would have protected us from being abused with the ongoing global scrote pandemic 😷

I feel that it would be better for you to work with your emotions, instead of "controlling" or "managing" it. I understand this is how emotions are talked about out there in society but this language is propagated by men and I found it to be not very healthy psychologically. The more you try to "control" the more it'll backfire in the long run, and that shortcut cure you're looking for, is going to stop working every time. My ex was like this. Speaking of numbness, over the time the numbness will spread, from your face, to your body, to the way eat, the way you walk... and regrettably sometimes to the way you think. Months after I got out, I can feel parts of my mind still remain under a numbing/ freezing spell. I m afraid to even think new thoughts, which is not who I am at all.

Also, don't forget Sex and the City. The ENTIRE show was built around this concept. As my generation was growing up they were essentially telling us: THIS is what love is like, THIS is what dating is like. Well I also didn't show any interest, in fact I absolutely hated it, but my brain went into this mode where it understood that here is my parent making an effort to teach me something so this must be very important and I should listen. I saw this in my ex too. We're in the same industry/ company whenever our mentor said something, I would listen and take notes. Sometimes I disagreed and questioned what he said but my ex abs…

They confuse love with lust / male depravity--as this is the ONLY thing in life that has no limits. Love has limits aka proper boundaries especially when the dating pool is full of LVM predators waiting to take advantage of you

Oh dear I wish I have the mental endurance to see this as a contest. If you were unhappy and suffered from your relationships, your sufferings were valid. Others sufferings don't make yours less true. It wasn't my point to make this thread. As some other commenters said, it's cathartic to write out the deeply disturbing reality of who they really are. In my case, for the past days my brain got stuck in thinking my ex-husband was HVM (??), somehow it only reminisced the warm moments. I'm trying t…

Shame in this context is a tool of control society uses to coerce women to date (aka open access to her resources to) worthless males On an individual it enacts as an unsettling sense that she who doesn’t split nothing exists outside their system of control. So they devalue you (shame you) hoping you crave for their validation enough to adopt their way and submit yourself to being under their control

Hey I'm also from South East Asia and I'm going through a divorce. My mom was frowned upon a lot (for failure in teaching me). They can't do it to me because I go no-contact with almost everybody in the family. I only write them hate emails every now and then when I'm in the mood. But yea, being independent & self-protecting in SEA might mean that you'll have to disown pretty much everyone in your family in order to maintain sanity.

This is great advice. However, it seems to me even if we do this, they are the ones to make the first move (of scanning) so it's more like we reciprocating them? TO those who are unsure of whether they want to do this or not, maybe try it out. But also know that you don't have to. In my experience sometimes I intentionally reciprocate, look at them and smile back etc and sometimes I don't. They still come over anyway ~

A while back somebody made a thread that's structured like a dictionary of things scrotes say about themselves. I feel like there needs to be one about things society says of us and we can rewrite all those definitions "crazy cat lady" "too jaded" "given up on men" "stuck up" "selfish" "vain" "cold career woman" etc.

Getting sex and cute “good morning” texts without actually committing to you. And if he goes out with another girl, you can’t complain, remember, because you’re just ‘talking’. I think this is due to OLD culture. It gives them the illusion of access to many women at once hence the low effort. Especially when they first use it, the apps give new users a boost and they get more likes, right swipes, it makes them think they're hot shit. The high and the validation is enough--that is actually the va…

Its hard to see the extent of our accountability. The media and culture at large pits woman against each other, creates stereotypes and divisions among us right down to the way we re dressed since we were very young. Most women I knew who entered the life of a SAHM (including my mom) bought into this LIE: that they will get paid with something they need innately, that money cannot buy -- emotional connection/ intimacy/ security, that their husbands will appreciate them, their kids will thank them when they grow up, that society will be forever grateful for their sacrifice. What a bunch of BS. These are also the women who have been too traumatized in childhood to see clearly that it's STILL a job, a role wher…

It used to be that women worked, but were part of an extended family and village support network of small towns, big farming communities and big families - where everybody was in charge of raising the children. This made childrearing a bit easier on the women, as aunts, grnadmothers, neighbors, older children would all chip in and watch the kids. Multigenerational households were the norm. Ohhh yes I remember reading about this too! I felt like I should have included in the post. The movement to…

Your comment gave me a weird idea. I suddenly wish there's a library somewhere (physical or online) that has all the historical accounts of the wives/ mothers/ daughters of all these historical figures. I'm not sure for what yet and I don't mean to diminish their contributions to humanity and civilization, but I feel like we were never taught about the women figures in their lives. Despite the common wisdom is that when you're married, you're essentially one with your spouse somehow only the men…

They will never self correct, but they will look to find new ways to steal the products of women's efforts for themselves. This is so true and I LOVE how straightforward your expressions are. I've read countless self-help books where they always refer to this act of thief in a metaphorical way, e.g. men "stealing our winds" "soiling our inner garden" etc. While I appreciate how it is quite entertaining to read, addressing the problem non-confrontationally doesn't help me think and improve in pra…

The epidemic of people with attachment issues, particularly avoidant attachment style- I wouldn’t be surprised if it was correlated with being put into daycare at a very young age. There are studies out there confirming this. I came across a few back in my college days but most of my friends disregarded the argument saying those research articles agenda is to oppress women by making them responsible for their babies attachment issues.

It all comes from a disregard for the work of women. And in this instance, that important work is the act of mothering. It is discarded as something that's NICE but not imperative but that just couldn't be further from the truth. Of course there will always be outliers, but overall, no one loves or cares for children more than their mothers. No one sacrifices and strives for children more than their mothers. No one nurtures or forgives or has patience for children like their mothers. Yes. This i…

Fasold is also intrigued by species that produce individuals not involved in reproduction, like honeybees and leaf-cutter ants. Reproduction is handled by the queen and a relatively few males; the workers are sterile females. Well we ARE traumatized, from putting our resources into raising man-babies in personal relationships. Man-babies that their mothers failed to raise themselves because they were too drained, because 50-70s propaganda pushed women “into the work force” while women had always been IN THE WORKFORCE it s just that domestic labor wasn’t counted as “work” 😡

I agree and I would also add that EVEN for childless women they also depend on us for: our emotional labor, our ability to empathize, care, resolve conflicts, connect resources, our ability to keep the customer service attitude and “make nice” , be it in the context of a relationship or an organization. We have been blindly complying to perform femininity at zero cost to them.

The more I think about it, the more it feels like the whole thing is a marketing campaign. They always say, "Every woman is always desperate and dreams of [using this product]. Look how beautiful she looks on her wedding day!!" when we were young and open-minded.But unlike a product company that's actually open to customer feedback they turn around and blame it on us. Heres a crazy idea. Im starting to believe “intimacy” in bonding with males is a magical concept marketed to (injured) women. When we experience “intimacy”, it’s actually us reconnecting reaffirming channelling in our use-to-be-unloved but true selves. Since birth the patriarchy system damages us, separating us from true ourselves , thus creating a demand, then falsely lead us to believe that we should only look for it in our bond with a male, while in fact we can be intimate with and by ourselv…

It's not that simple tho. Even if it starts out like that, I think the key is to CONSTANTLY VET and WALK AS SOON AS HE MISBEHAVES. In my case, my ex did start out liking me more than I liked him and I thought I was "safe" using this logic. After the love-bombing phase, his behavior & attitude gradually shifted and I was still stuck with the impression that he liked me more at the beginning. The confusion kept me stuck in that relationship for longer than I should.

There are worse things than to die alone. This. Was the realization that dawned on me 24 hours before leaving my ex. I was at the bottom of my depression, started to fantasizing about death and planning for my funeral. I told my him broad strokes of what was happening inside my mind. I said I wanted to be buried underneath a sunny meadow because that would be so peaceful. He told me flat out, "Who has the time and money to maintain the meadow? it would be so expensive!" My heart was broken but t…

Why would they be angry? That sounds like a very extreme reaction! I think the cultural narrative of "every woman needs a man in their life" was sooo deeply entrenched in everyone's mind that they think we're doing everything to be attractive to men and can't fathom otherwise O_O

I understand how you feel. At my size, although I wouldn't want to be smaller, I sometimes wake up still feeling "gross" about my body and I know that at any size I would continue to feel the same. I recently learn that it was because of the internalized hatred that other people had toward my body type as I was growing up. In my culture being curvy or a bit hourglass-y is considered attracting attention and people are grossed out by it. My mind was so malleable then that I learned to internalize…

My anxiety with my feminine dresses also started in puberty. Every time someone catcalled me on the streets (I was 12!) my mom would say it was my fault because of that spaghetti strap dress I was wearing and told me to put on some jeans.

I would have less of a problem if they say it to my face you know. Then I can solidly prove how much of an idiot they're being. In my case the difference in how they treat me was noticeable (but hard to prove) between when I dressed in one style vs when I dressed in the other.

For me its another weird concept that perpetuates patriarchy. The connotation of losing something innately “me” by virtue of having sex alone is laughable. I didn’t lose something, I gained the experience. Well unless the guy is terrible then I would lose my time and patience 😂 Nowadays I just call it, “the first time I gained the experience of sex” not that “I lost virginity” . Surely im not saying this to trivialize it. It is still an important mark and in my opinion should be done in an empow…

I hate the assumption that "they're ready to settle" means they'll stop being damaging. They'll STILL be damaging, but the new un-damaged victims are just oblivious / too inexperienced to see through their BS. The whole thing just feels sad.

Because they are often excluded (for being ugly and audacious) from socializing which might have helped with their antagonistic audacity. They don’t let the world in / moderate themselves (appearances thoughts behaviors) the way we were coerced to since birth so their entire being is usually just a bundle of flawed logics... Thats why they don’t make sense in most aspects of life and most of their behaviors.

Even if they spent the effort to do the research, it's just useless. My ex once brought this speech policing thing on me during an argument. Him: "You've got to use "I feel as if..." not the "YOU" statements because they're hurtful. AND IN THE SAME BREATH he proceeded to use the You statement, saying "YOU were too aggressive" and I corrected him using his OWN logic. And you know what he said. "Well I did it, because your aggressiveness was hurtful toward me." I was like ???? ???????? ????

I think the submissive Asian women trope was come up by Western men as projection of their fragile ego. It soothes them to know that they still have this possible prospect of getting submission from a woman albeit from a farrrr corner of the earth. My ex was like this. The funny thing is, in my case, he didn't "con" just me. I think he lied even to himself that being "eQuAL" is what he really wanted. I've seen him doing this in other areas in his life too. He lied to himself about being a vegan, a founder, stock trader, etc. while he wasn't just any good at those. You sound like my ex for some reason 😳 Perhaps Im still traumatized by this type of response/ comment (he would go on for hours about biological facts whenever I bring up some emotional/ intimacy issues we had) I also think the point of OP is not about the concept but how its being used by scrotes to justify bad treatment toward us.

I think besides the obvious, it's also the "hypothetically" that sets me off. It was like he was trying to stealthily sneak in the concept to test the water with me. I feel disgusted just remembering that part.

OMG as much as I'm trying to work on my trauma, I'm still triggered by this term "poly" EW My exhusband one day, out of the blue, in the midst of me cleaning up the Covid19 crisis our business was going through, came to me and said. "Just hypothetically ... What if I'm poly but I didn't know it?" Then I found myself getting on google and starting to type, "How do poly relationships...". somehow even before the results showed up, something snapped in my brain. "EW" On that same morning, I started…

I do this too. I call myself hot all the time. Then every time I got compliments “ you re pretty etc.” I usually respond very proudly “I KNOW!!!!” Once this scrote had the nerve to lecture me, “but its so vain to base your value on blah blah blah” and proceeded to tell me that “YOU have at best 10 more years” I was like huh??? then hung up and blocked. Just 15minutes earlier he said I was his soulmate lmao 🤦🏻‍♀️

Damn... I love her response!! I'm very active on social media. I love sharing stories about my days and my job, both the good and the sad moments. Once this guy I told me that I should share the sad moments with just him, not on social media and not with anybody else... because he was umm "worried". And I said I knew how to defend myself if I got attacked for what I shared and he patronized me, "do you actually know? How? Tell me..." TBH I'm sometimes torn about this too! Either way it costs mental processing power... but I realize when I play dumb, it reinforces the system rather than challenges it. Someone's gotta start doing this until it becomes a movement ya know... On an individual level playing dumb is also risky because with no resistance NVMs will persist the behavior, they may also start to test your boundaries on other things and it'll get hella annoying soon.

I think they're too insecure. ANY women when put enough focus on herself will become beautiful, but this also means she'll put less focus on the men around her. Certainly that was my case and they felt it. Insecurity aside, they also have this need to police everyone around them. This is so different from how women would react to insecurity.

Contrary to popular belief beautiful women attract a lot more LVMs than HVMs because they’re insecure with something to prove to other LVMs and want to neg women into thinking that he is on her level. I know from personal experience. OMG I got these comments too. I'm very active on social media because of my job, which of course hit them so much worse. From my personal experience and observing my friends, if you re not intentionally looking for a relationship with a HVM (or be content with being single), ANYTHING ELSE (hookups, fun dates, romantic flings etc.) usually ends in one or two ways: A) You develop feelings for them , get your heart broken B) They develop feelings for you, start pestering you about it. When I was with my ex husband, I remember sometimes he would jokingly say that I'm an example of a "Nice To Have", when he first learned the concept from some economic book. He emphasized that having me around is not absolutely necessary, I can stay, I can leave, he doesn't care. It was the same energy with this post but my judgment was so poor that I stick around despite how damaging it was to my self-esteem.

About the jealous argument , I wouldn't be jealous with them if I met them on the streets. I'm even more beautiful and successful than most of them. Why would I be jealous with them if they weren't directly competing for my partner's attention because of his poor judgments?? Mine did this too. When he told them problems in our relationship and cried to them, they must be like, "wow a man that can feel... poor guy" and consoled him. I don't blame them though, they didn't know better that their time could have been used for other things. He walked away feeling "understood" and "being kind to" and then compared me to these women and how "unfeeling" and "cold" I was to him.

What's even scarier for me to realize , now that I'm away from his influence , is that the average age of his "female friends" group keeps dropping over the years. Last time I knew of him, he was running a Discord group, some of them I heard were 13 - 14 years old (He was complaining to me about their parents banned them from socializing with his group) I don't want to assume anything but I'm .... relieved now that I am away from that fucked up mess he's cooking 🤢🤢🤢

You deserve your partner’s undivided attention, each and every minute of the relationship. Thats like the most basic thing you can expect. Its not right what he’s doing and you know it... Also from the perspective of the boys, they bully because the act in itself is enjoyable to them. It's when the little seed of cruelty in their heart start to manifest. If adults are complicit and don't stop them right then and there , that seed will grow into a tendency (or even a full blown twisted desire) for violence against women (and other vulnerable beings) when they're adults. Not only first date, but also first OFFER should be a meal. From my own and my friend's experiences, quite a few of them would try to offer coffee / walk dates first. When you reject, they would move onto saying, "Who says that was the only offer?" 🙄 I was like... Sweet. How manipulative. When I was about to hold back my judgment even after the low-balling offer, they just revealed themselves haha. Convenient but so surreal.

Yep. And be careful when they start harping to you (no matter how long into the relationship) about loving you for who you really are. Your good and bad sides. Your "dark" souls. And then he'd get distant or pissed off with me if I didn't immediately bounce back to cheerful and flirty. Hi, thanks for stopping by my post.. it is rather curiously odd isn't it? I agree with you, it is very likely to be negging, I thought of this too. What is hard for me to reconcile is that I knew him since high school and I wouldn't have thought of him as capable of that. Perhaps I was naive and maybe I still am...
