These women, man …I’m so sorry.

I was the exact same way and chose to stick around. I was comfortable and LOVE my kids. In the the end…she cheated. Do yourself a favor, leave now.

Why can’t you see them?

My kids are young. They’ll like anyone who plays with them.

I don’t know how much I should say, I figure she’s monitoring my account. But it just does.

This guy is right. Cheating doesn’t matter at all. Your life gets turned upside down and the cheating wife still usually gets everything she wants or at least half. God I wish there was something in the legal system for cheaters but unfortunately, nope.

I’m right there with you I despise my ex. Not in a “there’s a thing line between love and hate” kind of way. Legitimately I despise this garbage human. It’s still recent and I’m taking all the steps to lessen that, but right now I don’t want to. I thrive in it. I, too, need to deal with her because of kids. F it. One day I’ll let it go. Not today.

I would never take back my ex. She is such filth, so disgusting and such a loser. Wasted her entire marriage, kids, family and friends on a dude 10 years younger who makes HALF as her. I can’t wait to watch this implode. But seriously, she lost everyone she was ever “close” with. Apparently starting a new life from scratch was ok for her.

This. Although I exposed her and she was stupid enough to allow me to get all my ducks in a row anyway. I still wish I would’ve waited.

Jfc man. I will never understand the low down dirty depths of these women we married. I’m sorry, bro.

I’m pushing for 4 months. She’s pushing for a year. I have a plan for mediation that will get her to agree with me based on what’s best for the kids. We’ll see what happens.

I think more of my girlfriend from high school who I considered the “love of my life” than I do my ex-wife. I honestly don’t think I ever really loved my wife fully. I was content and comfortable. But she was and is an awful wife and mother. Her affair hurt because I was disrespected and betrayed. But other than that, I really didn’t care. I will never be contacting her again unless it is child related and hope nothing but the worst for her.

I have no advice and I’m sorry you’re going through this, but this was my exact situation that I lived for 10 years. Honestly, if she didn’t have an affair, I probably would STILL be living it. My advice would be to file, but I’m not in your shoes and have an enormous support network. This is tough man. Again im sorry.

Welcome to the club nobody wants to be in. Women cheating is an epidemic. I’m sorry, Bud.

100%. Found out my wife was on “happy divorces” Tik Toks where divorced couples and their new partners blend their families and bbq together, go on vacations together, etc. etc. After I found out about the affair she even brought up still spending Sundays together as a family, or going to the pool together as a family or even me still attending a Disney Trip we had planned. Still being guilt tripped into this one. She is a child and has no concept of reality.

I hear you man. And you’re right. She wasn’t recording and this won’t be happening again. I have recordings of her verbally abusing my children, but my lawyer said my state is a two party consent state so it would be inadmissible.

You’re 100% right. This is the way forward for me.

Fair enough. You’re right. I don’t want it to seem like this is an everyday occurrence. It isn’t. Something about yesterday just set me off. I am in therapy. But I won’t be doing this again. I only have 3 more days left to be around her. If I get that urge, I’ll go to my garage and hit the heavy bag.

What clicked for me is how awful my wife was in every aspect of the marriage. As a mother: cold, unresponsive, never played with them, took out her petty frustrations with yelling at them. As a lover: never initiated, made it feel like a chore, then expected me to be grateful. As a partner: took control of everything and didn’t want input. I would try to do dishes and she would bark “ugh just let me do it.” Yet I was always supposed to cater to her stupid anxieties and HUGE amount of “I think I …

I’m right there with you although I still have the upper hand with my filth of a STBXW. Never saw it coming. Not from a million miles away. But like I said in other posts, after a week of regulating my nervous system. It allll clicked. Her awfulness. Everything. It just clicked. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

How do you usually meet? Going through the divorce process now so I’m definitely not trying to get into a relationship, just curious.
/r/Divorce_Men06/04/26 06:12 PM

Yeah, I would just grey rock her. This woman has no regard or respect for you and is filth. Don’t focus on her or give her any thought and move on. Good luck.

I generally agree with this but two weeks is outrageous. OP, did you not have a plan in court or mediation for this?

I needed this today too. STBXW just wants to go out, party, f around with AP and have myself and her parents take care of our 7 and 5 year old daughters. She simply does not care. I on the other hand WANT to be there. I’ll take the brunt of everything if it means stability and protection.

It’s amazing how many men are in this situation. Though I felt angry at the betrayal it really opened my eyes to how awful my wife was in every aspect of life. Especially and specifically as a mother. As far as I’m concerned this guy took out of trash.

100% cheating. Sorry man, currently going through it myself.

I love this man. I’m the same way. Once I found out what my wife did, it was all over. I was miserable for years and it just gave me the out I needed. I didn’t even care. She’ll never be happy, people despise her and I’m going to crush it.

I’m not falling back into anything, trust me. I haven’t done any pick-me dance, I went full throttle for divorce since day one. I wouldn’t take her back now if someone paid me a yearly salary to do it. She’s disgusts me. Yes, she’s panicking because she was caught, but she was caught 3 weeks ago. Now more things are coming out that she could possibly lose her job, her reputation is literally in ruins, her parents are disgusted with her and even her friends are backing away. THATS what I mean whe…

This is precisely it. I’m sorry to say but your wife and your life (as it looks at THIS moment) are gone. Best advice I got on this board was to emotionally detach yourself as soon as possible and accept reality. You’d be surprised how easy it is especially if you were in a loveless, sexless marriage like I was. But you must change the way you see that woman first. She’s not longer the woman you married.
/r/Divorce_Men18/03/26 03:20 PM

Take her back?? Bro don’t even think about it. Work on you and your son and emotionally detach yourself from this woman as soon as possible.

That’s fucking awful man, I’m sorry. Mine did something similar. I found out about the affair on a Monday and she was out until 4am on the following Friday. With a 7 and 5 year old at home. However, even though I was hurt and shocked initially at the betrayal I realized how awful of a person my STBXW really is. I always knew, but this really lifted the veil. True filth of a human being. I was able to emotionally detach extremely quickly. I am gray rocking her and it’s pissing her off. I won’t fi…

This. Emotionally detach as soon as you can. You’ll be surprised how quickly it can happen especially if she’s been out for two years. Do not be friends, Gray Rock and move out as soon as you can.
/r/Divorce_Men15/03/26 09:04 PM

True, but he needs to start to emotionally detach ASAP. His wife is no longer the person he married. He has to think of her as a stranger especially since there are no kids involved.

My trust was unwavering until I looked. She made me believe I was crazy, completely gaslit. Of course when I found out I went through all the emotions, but the single best emotion I had was relief. Give it a shot bro. Best case, nothing there and you talk to your wife more deeply. Worst case…well that’s the worse case.

I hate to say it man, but she’s either in an emotional affair or physical. Do you know her passcode?

For me it was the secretive phone use. Found out right after and now going No Contact. I’m going to be much better off. She went dumpster diving. The only regret I have is that I have to do parent with her the rest of my life.

Yeah this guy is right. I went from thinking about it incessantly to completely emotionally detaching from my wife in almost a week and a half. I just did things for me. I did whatever I wanted. I know everyone says this, but working out is a MUST. No just a treadmill or elliptical, add free weights. I also went on the apps, I randomly marches with a girl I want to high school with who went through a divorce and we have been talking almost everyday. There’s flirtation, but it’s not sexual and I’…

Never thought it was in my STBXW character until it was. I’m telling you, start grieving your marriage and current life now. She is out and I wouldn’t be surprised whatsoever if she’s having an affair (emotional or physical). Let her go brother. Start putting yourself first.

That’s awesome, man congrats. In the middle of a divorce with an emotionally and physically neglectful, affectionate-less wife and I hadn’t realized until the divorce was initiated that I had already begun grieving the marriage long ago. Even though it’s early in the process, I know I am going to be fine. Can’t wait to come back in a year a write a post just like this one.

I found out about an affair a week ago. I went through 3 days of hell. Now I’m literally grieving the life I had, the future I wanted, my daughters and the life I built. But I have very quickly emotionally detached from the wife. I keep everything with her about the girls. It so early in the process but I actually think I’m being really healthy. Getting therapy, working out, being with my girls, going to work. So much so that Im able to grieve and detach myself emotionally from her in real time.…

Honestly then it was worth it. If it was your first one then it probably feels good. Now the harder part begins. Getting to full indifference. Not love, not hate…indifference. Gray rock it all the way.

I know for a fact she won’t be better off without me. It doesn’t make me feel any type of way, it just is what it is. I’ll always have love for her as my former partner and children’s mother, but the love I felt is so gone. I’m ready for this chapter no matter how hard it will be.

I feel you. I’m in the process of it now, found out about wife having an affair. After the initial shock and betrayal, I’m absolutely calm for now and actually pretty relieved. She has fucking sucked for so long and I was literally the last to know. I wouldn’t take her back if she wanted to in the least. However, I still am grieving the future like the guy above me said. Not a future with her per se, just the direction mine and my children’s lives were going in. They don’t know yet and are going…

I could have written this entire post my self word for word. Literally. Everything you just said. Even the hotel part, I’m heading there tonight for two nights to decompress from the fucking bomb that just hir my world and set it on fire. Even in these early days however, I actually feel relieved and hopeful as well. Like my STBXW has and always will be filth. I was just the last to notice.

I was 13 when my parents got divorced. It sucked but I’m awesome. I just married filth. But at the same time I’ve noticed this type of shit happening with tons of women. Social media led to the death of marriages and probably society.
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/26 08:44 AM

I’m early in but I’m feeling the exact same way. Yeah, I was blind sided. In the moment because it’s so new I am raw, going through all the emotions everyday (mornings are particularly bad for some reason). But at the same time, my wife always sucked. She has always been pure filth. This kind of gave me the go ahead that I needed/probably secretly wanted to leave. I am looking at this as a fucking golden opportunity.

That’s brutal but eye opening. I’m going through it now. It’s amazing how women get with tik tok.

I feel this too. Except I don’t want to care for my STBXW anymore. I want her to fail in everything she does and touches. Relationships, work…everything really. But yeah, that’s probably the pain talking.

I actually couldn’t agree more. I know exactly who this woman is and this guy is getting just the taste that I had in the beginning before it turns into emotionally being absent permanently. And I’m okay with that lol. I’ll survive. She belongs to the streets.
