Out of nowhere I think I 'clicked' with someone.

But as my ex-wife seemed to have completely obliterated any shred of my self-confidence I'm just confused and have problems trusting my gut.

Short version: went to a new gym, normally just go in and out. But last weekend one of the women working there seemed very happy to chat with me. I'm thinking that's what they get paid for (restaurants, service industry, etc.) don't think much of it.

Had another longer chat yesterday, getting along like a house on fire, fast forward to today. Same scenario - we chat, I'm thinking that she's really nice and friendly but laughs a little too loud about my lame joke.

I do my workiut, we chat some more on my way out.

She then starts telling me that she broke up with her boyfriend a few months ago, not a good relationship, but now she's free again. And she only works in the gym on weekends and she basically is there every weekend.

My gut is telling me one thing but my divorce wrecked me that I'm more like "she could not be possibly interested in me... I'm imagining things..." And there's quite an age gap.

Those of you who are back in the game: based on this little description - is this what I sense it is/might be?

I'm just completely baffled and overwhelmed (and cursing my ex-wife 😁)
