What a phony, she walked out, took a bunch of stuff including the kids DVD player, she ghosted the kids for six months and still barely see them cuz she is living life with AP. Plus break my heart, gas lit me and left with 900k I earned.

This is a thing with most women and breakups. It doesn’t matter what the real truth is, you are now the villain. You are the darkness she survived. Odds are she’ll call you a narcissist and probably post about abuse or trauma.

My ex did it. She moved the narrative from her cheating, to justifying it because she was a survivor of whatever nonspecific trauma she went through. I have a lot of female friends that do the same thing. It’s trendy and gets them the attention they crave.

Give it time and the tone will change. You’re her villain until she gets bored or someone else comes along and takes that role.

My STBX was/is doing the same. I’ve since gotten the spine to at least unfollow her and not force myself to look at the crap. It’s just to help the victim complex, at least in my case so she can feel better about herself. Was sharing posts about mothers will do anything to save their child. Meanwhile she hadn’t seen our daughter in about 10 days at that point. Even had a conversation last night with her at drop off regarding future custody paperwork that she knows it’s been helpful for our daughter to be with me at the house during this “season of healing” and that she hopes in the future she can have her at her place when she’s in a “season of stability”

Like - I’ve never posted shit - just living my best life. Friends and family find it so cringy what she does and says I’m doing the right thing. She’s so delusional like she was blameless. It is just seeking attention, validation, and sympathy from the people who will tell her she is so strong and brave for getting out of a bad situation, although most of them have no idea what the situation really is or if a large portion of it was her own creation. I feel like a large percentage of them do this.

My stbx who initiated everything had been going around telling her family so very untrue things about me. I know because they reached out to me to see if she’s struggling with a mental illness. I don’t think she is, but I also don’t appreciate her making me out to be the bad guy.

We tried therapy twice. Each time she quit when the therapist started to talk about issues she was bringing into it. In her mind it was all about me changing and not her in the slightest.

My whole point is that she is doing this to play the victim card in the relationship so (in her mind) people don’t blame her for the divorce. It’s all very childish and somewhat narcissistic.

Who gives a shit. Ex is blocked on both Facebook and Instagram. I used to unblock her often during the first year to check how they were doing with AP but at some point, you know, nothing was pulling me to check her profiles any longer. As I said above, i stopped orhanocally giving a shit. Kids decided recently to show me a photo of her new man (many men after the AP who dropped her like a bad habit after divorce), and I felt - nothing.

IMO the stronger connection is severed, the faster is the healing.
