About a week ago we had our court date - it was really nothing extraordinary, much protocol, a few questions, uncontested divorce and we were done in about 15 minutes.

But...my ex-wife was late to her own divorce, which she asked for. Court date was at 14:00 and around 13:55 my lawyer gets nervous and asks if I could call my ex-wife to find out where she is. Kicker is I told multiple people the weeks before I expect her to be late as I know her and she just is bad at organizing anything...

We had an amicable chat (more or less) for an hour afterwards.

She told me she also started seeing a therapist because, lo and behold, some of the issues she blamed me for are repeating themselves in her new relationship - who would've thought!

I really just hope her relationship goes down the drain rather sooner than later - sorry, I'm not big enough to forgive her.
