When both people are equally attractive, there’s an unspoken fight for who is the most special. She wants it to be her, so that she feels adored. Compliment her and be nonchalant about your own looks.

You have really interesting hobbies and there’s plenty to say about them. You love to draw. What have you drawn lately? Who’s your favorite artist? What type of art do you like? You love to workout. Do you go to classes? Do you lift? Which gym? What’s your trainer like? Do you go with friends? You like to bake. What’s your favorite recipe and why? Are you working on your own recipe book? What dishes are you wanting to try? Places you wanna go? You like to play piano. That’s really cool! When did…

I’d become interested in it with him and playfully join him. Sit there for a sec bored and then ask him what’s going on in the instagram world. Is he checking a sports thing? Start talking about the team. Is he scrolling and seeing his friends posts? What are his friends up to? Is he watching funny videos? Can I see it too? Use the phone as a topic for a conversation and then break away from the phone and just focus on the topic. But also, yeah it’s rude behavior and most are aware of that. He j…

Sounds like he’s logically driven and you’re emotionally driven. I’d follow his lead. You’ll get there one day.

I think men don’t want to be “passenger princesses” led around by their wives. They want to be the strong leader, prepared for whatever obstacles may come while driving.

He popped up as a suggestion because he looked you up first. That’s why the Facebook algorithm recommend him to you. But once you added him on accident, you should’ve just owned it like it was on purpose lol

How do you know he stalks your linked in? Was he logged into his account when he checked yours? Curious cause I randomly look up an ex sometimes but I’m not logged in. He’s married now. I’d block him.

Make breakfast and lunch. Make/reheat his coffee as needed. See what he likes to do in his downtime - go for a walk, do his own thing, you all hang out etc. When he’s stressed out or done for the day, be a soft landing. Keep the house quiet when he’s in meetings or needs to focus. Be there for him to vent to. Keep the house clean so he has a mental break when leaving his workspace. Help keep his desk tidy by removing old plates/cups if he eats there.

As a girl that wears all black, that opening line is cringe. Don’t judge someone based on their appearance - I don’t have artistic energy and I’m not goth or in a band. All those assumptions based on my clothing would be super weird. Just say hey, get to know me.

I had this happen to me in a very intense way. You’re basically wanting her to feel limerence. Have a reason to abruptly cut the night short before she was expecting it. Don’t spend a ton of time with her. Have a busy life and make sure she knows she isn’t number one. Don’t talk to other girls to make her feel jealous, that’s amateur shit. Make sure she knows you’re a catch, but actually be one. Pay for things and easily afford your lifestyle. Don’t give her all your attention when she’s around,…

Oh, wow. Would he one day want to move to that country so he could see his kid more? Are you willing to move? About their relationship which was somehow a long distance marriage with a kid, I’d have a lot of questions about what all happened there. That seems like a lot of baggage compared to you, who has none.

I can do divorced, but not with kids. He’ll always be attached to another woman and another family. I also see it as abandoning his family/starting the commitment of creating a person and then stepping out. Makes me worry that he would do it again - leave his wife and kids. He’s also only with his kid half the time. He’s gonna miss that time and I can’t be with someone who isn’t fully invested in the family they created. It breaks down my trust and just doesn’t work for me.

If you’re wanting to grow with him intimately and romantically the old fashioned way, I think going over with the plan of spending the night each time might not set the right impression or give you what you’re looking for. I would take things slow - like go over there for dinner, watch a movie or whatever and then go back home for the night. Keep it to kissing and cuddling and just get to know one another. Also plan things out of the home too since both of these dates are at his house. I’m happy…

That’s true. Which is why people should focus on their strengths and highlight them. Work on the weaknesses and insecurities to raise them up but don’t make them your personality like this guy has.

I already answered that question. You’re not listening. So I’ll say what you want to hear, which apparently is the truth - you’re acting like a lil bitch that’s unwilling to learn or better yourself, so of course she’ll leave you. I would too.

It means you need to analyze those lame thoughts, learn about yourself and retrain your brain. Recognize your own value and stop comparing it to others. All that does is highlight their value which implies you’re lesser than them.

I have a retired guy friend and we mess with each other all the time. We call each other the wrong names and he’s a total dumbass. We think it’s hilarious and we mutually understand that we’re joking. We have serious talks about how we value our friendship. But my boyfriend/husband? No, I would never want that type of dynamic. That’s an interesting perspective. I like that. I guess I need to look at myself and analyze why I don’t like that attitude, even if the roles are reversed in my favor. Which, good for me honestly. I guess I already have the meaning of the movie in me. It’s nice to see it portrayed on screen though so others (men) can learn from it.

I loved the movie because of the ultra girly vibes but I can see how it’s problematic. Not for any of the reasons I’ve seen in reviews though. I don’t like how when the women were in charge, men were nothing. I don’t like how when the men were in charge, they mistreated the women. I would have really liked it if in the end, they acknowledged the benefits that both sexes bring to the table, that both are equally important, and that both rule the world but play different roles. The vagina thing at…

I don’t think the age difference would be perceived any differently in Islam than any other religion. It may be more acceptable in Islam because the prophet Muhammad pbuh married a young girl with an extremely large age difference but I still don’t think it’s truly accepted in todays time and culture.

I guess I’m a unicorn then. I was in a relationship from 16 to 30 and now single. I’m attractive, slim, good job, homeowner and sane. That relationship just didn’t work out for me so now I’m searching again. Maybe we’re rare but we do exist.

“To keep a man happy, keep his stomach full and his balls empty” is so true. My husband loves that I can cook well and often. It’s a necessary part of life that he doesn’t enjoy or have time for and it’s a special craft and way for the woman to provide for the house and give back.

Well I received a lot of advice here about ending things and not forcing him. I took a weekend to myself and started letting go and distancing myself from him. I grieved him and accepted that the relationship may end. I told him I don’t feel safe and secure, I need reassurance and to be with someone who loves me. My needs aren’t being met and I’m considering ending things. This was scary to hear. He didn’t want to lose me. He said that he wants to stay together if I understand that his heart is …

This is part of why asking about their life plan regarding marriage, children and expectations should be asked earlier on. It’s been a year and now your heart is involved and you’ve invested a good amount of time. At this point, you ultimately need to decide if you’re okay with not having kids and can wholeheartedly accept that, then figure out the work/sahw situation. Or part ways and search for a man that can fulfill those desires with you. Best wishes as you figure things out.

If someone does things that I’m definitely not attracted to, I wouldn’t be attracted to them. I don’t date people I’m not attracted to. Therefore, I would not date that person. Being lazy and smoking all day sounds like a person with no goals and poor hygiene. I’m not into that.

I’m 30 and my partner is 44. I’m submissive to him and he’s my Dominant. I find it easier and more natural to fit into this dynamic and to respect him. I don’t see him as a “boy” like I did the other guys I went on dates with. He’s mature and he’s wise on a lot of different subjects. He’s someone I can go to for advice and trust his answer. I felt this way at the start of my relationship too. He’s older than me and every other guy I’ve talked to would carry on constant conversations with me to the point of being kinda clingy and annoying. This one didn’t. After following this sub, I went and checked out red pill men because I figured that would be the perfect compliment to me as a red pilled woman. The advice and comments there were more geared towards how to sleep with a bunch of women and not get emotionally attached. It was really disappointing since I was hoping to see the mens perspective of our sub. Is there a real male version of red pill women out there?

My husband has a high body count and I look at the bright side of it by appreciating the experience he has because of it. We have a great sex life that he leads and I don’t need to educate him. On the other hand, I’m comparatively inexperienced and I think that works best for women. Downvote me because everyone here needs to have the same response, right? No differing opinions allowed.

Giving up an addiction cold turkey is not an easy path. What if you filmed you and your boyfriend having sex and watched that instead? It would give you something to watch while focusing on the two of you instead? It would begin to retrain your mind to think of only him sexually and this could be a new thrilling experience that he would approve of. Maybe later you could work on giving it up altogether if you want.

There’s a lot of good advice here but what I don’t agree at all with is the notion that a HVM is just a guy that makes money. There’s wayyy more to it than that. Just like how there’s more to a HVW than just appearances.

My husband is Muslim. He is an imam (director/preacher) of his mosque, prays 5 times a day and lives his life by the word of Allah. I was an atheist when I first met him, a stubborn one he would say. I would advise you to read the post on this sub titled “Feel like I messed up in life” that was posted yesterday. That may give you some perspective from someone who did take that path. I’m not saying you’ll end up feeling the same but it may give you some insight. At the same time, it’s smart to have a backup plan but maybe not one that puts you in a high amount of debt and will be your main focus. Just my opinion though, whatever it’s worth.

There’s another FDS sub that’s specifically for calling out gross men and their depravity to make us more aware. Nice for what? You don’t even gotta lie. “I don’t really like being friends with men but I wish you the best!” Then watch em scramble as their egos are bruised and you peace out. I’ve tried having male friends, I really have. But they ALWAYS expect more and try to lead it to that, even when I make it clear it ain’t that. They always have an ulterior motive. So what happens if a black/non-white woman gets catcalled? Is it okay for them to be offended then because they’re not white and therefore not “racializing” men? Why does someone else get to decide what we’re offended by? I don’t need anyone else to validate my feelings, regardless of what damn color my skin is.

I think it shows strength to block. That means I have boundaries and I’m enforcing them. I don’t let just anyone walk back into my life, say what they want and disrupt my peace. I have a 110lb German Shepherd. He’s very loyal to me and extremely protective. He’s a super sweetheart but also a total badass. I completely trust his judgement of peoples character. If he didn’t like a guy, I would strongly consider his opinion and probably agree. Also the guy would need to defend his life every time he comes over and that might get complicated. I had this happen on the opposite end of things. It’s my house, we flipped it, then broke up years later. It’s worth like 50k more because of it. He wanted to take more furniture to make up for it? Nope, sorry! Everything else was split in half but we can’t do that with the house so...his loss. Don’t do that to yourself, ladies!

One time I was in a grocery store and there was a man by the exit with his arm in a sling. He was having trouble pushing his cart and asked me if I could help him to his car and load his groceries. I said sure and waved over a man in the store uniform. I said happily, here he can help you out! I didn’t want to walk away with some strange man. I had a doubt in my mind that his arm was really broken and needed to be in a sling. I think he just wanted me to think he was the weak and vulnerable one …

Wowwww it’s written by a woman?? I just assumed that name was a man. It’s...sad isn’t even the word for it...when you see a woman betray her own gender. I’d like to think she doesn’t understand or she’s just uneducated, but she did her full research and wrote an article. I guess if a woman doesn’t want help, we can’t help her. She’s lost.

My ex used to do this and I’d say “you’re making me look like a single woman back here!” while laughing. It was a nice way to call him out for it and let him know that if you don’t want to walk next to me...some other man just might come over and want to.

I feel your pain. I lived in apartments for a long time and the #1 reason I wanted a house was for the backyard and fuzzy boy. I hope you can continue working towards your goals so you can have a home or backyard setup one day. To stay safe until then, look into the doorbells with a camera like Ring and a gun/pepper spray/taser kinda stuff.

As a woman who lives alone, I’m constantly reminded how grateful I am for my German Shepherd. He scares the shit out of everyone but he’s a total sweetheart to me. I sleep peacefully at night knowing he’s at the end of my bed. He’s in the backyard for hours at a time, letting everyone know we’re not to be fucked with. He sits in my backseat with the windows down and watches me walk in and out of places. I encourage every single woman to get a dog.

I once slept with a guy (long ago before I vetted) and he stayed the night and brought a change of clothes. He forgot his boxers and when he came over next I made a point of embarrassing him by saying “I was gonna wash these but there’s shit in them and I didn’t wanna put that in my washing machine.” Literal skid marks. Even tho it’s just a tank top, I think for me it’s the fact that everyone in the crowd is yelling “yeah, strip!!” as she takes her clothes off. I see it as her giving in because she never wanted to strip/wear less clothes in public/be a sex symbol and only did this as a response to others negativity. I agree that she shouldn’t have to hide her body, but she was doing this as a response to others. It wasn’t just her growing and maturing into a woman. She’a been sexualized the whole time she’s bee…

Of all days, it’s expected that a man would treat his lady on Valentine’s Day. If a man didn’t do that for me, I’d have to assume we’re not together. Maybe I’d pretend to be embarrassed that I thought we were in a relationship and since I’m not looking for any male friends, goodbye.

I’m actually switching from Crunch to LA Fitness right now just because they have a women’s-only section. I could never get my full workout in or concentrate because men would gawk. They think they’re sneaky but they’re not. I’d rather drive across town and workout with other women than right down the street and have men lust after me. Honestly I wish there were more places that are women’s-only. I work in an office that’s 95% women and it’s amazing. I’d also like to grocery shop in peace.

A man saying he’s dominant is a huge red flag. That means they want to own you and be very rough during sex and call it normal. It’s like Fifty Shades gave all these assholes a nice name for being aggressive towards a woman during sex. And if he’s dominant, that implies that I play the role of submissive, a slave to the man. Hahahaaaa this happened to me recently. “How much is your car payment tho?” Nothing, it’s paid off. “Oh ok, how many miles does it have tho?” Only 40k. He kept trying to rationalize how I could afford such a nice car. Well...I have a job, a budget, a savings account and a whole lot of sense.

This is something I’m learning to do, or not to do rather. I don’t need to have a deep conversation about why something bothered me. They don’t need to know my feelings. The point is we don’t match.

Are there also sheets and pillowcases on the bed? Never mind, that’s too much to ask. You know it’s a bare mattress with throw pillows from the couch.

Even when they do wash their hands, they’re still disgusting. Why does every guy eat their fingernails down to nasty little nubs with torn bleeding cuticles? Then they wanna stick that inside me? Eeeeeew no.

They’ll explain something toxic about themselves and then say “I know, but that’s just how I am.” Well okay buddy, my time in therapy and soul searching to improve myself wasn’t all for some loser that just accepts their bad qualities as “who they are.”

Hahaha yes! The fucking “what do you want to know?” All that getting dressed up and going out...just to find out their favorite thing to do is play call of duty all night and sleep all day.

They expect our awesomeness to carry them or provide some kind of entertainment. I hate that awkward moment when I talk about my job, school or cool things I’ve done lately and then I’ll kinda be like “your turn, tell me about you” and it’s bland and boring as fuck or somehow they can’t come up with anything to say about themselves. Like I’m talking to a wall. Makes me regret pouring energy into talking about my own awesomeness. They shouldn’t even be a witness to something so great.

I was talking to this guy and he said “I just feel so good with you. Idk what it is. You make me feel amazing like no one ever has.” I liked him, but wasn’t feeling all that. My thought was “of course you like me. I’m wonderful. I have a great energy and I know everyone can sense it. The next guy will think I’m amazing too, and maybe I’ll think the same of him.”

I think they can be trained, but you have to enforce boundaries from the beginning. Set a standard and do not back peddle. I was with a guy, he ate me out for a minute but I didn’t cum. I had to leave soon. He wanted me to suck his dick real quick, it’ll only take 2 minutes and he just spent time on me. I said no, I don’t like this. I will not be pressured or guilt tripped. If I’m not getting mine, I’m not giving him his. I’m also not into a quicky as we run out the door. He pulled his pants up …

I live alone now since I recently broke up with my partner. Now all of the household chores are mine on top of going to school and working on my career. I used to complain that he only put in about 20% of the work. Now I have 100% of it and it may be more work than before but at least I don’t feel like I’m doing it all for someone else. It doesn’t make me angry because now I’m doing it for me. If something isn’t done, I only have myself to blame.

I’d be nervous about waiting until marriage to move in together. A whole lot is revealed about a person when you live with them, like how household chores are split up and how much he really contributes. I wouldn’t want to get married and then find out it’s not a good arrangement because of our home life. I wouldn’t want to give away “free labor,” I think of it as a test run to see how the labor is divided.

“Hang out? So you aren’t interested in dating me? Idk, I feel like we aren’t looking for the same thing right now but I I wish you the best.” Put them off kilter. Let them know your boundaries and agree to nothing less than what you deserve. Watch them backpedal while you laugh and decide if he’s worth having to coach all the time like you just had to.

I think they’re raised with their mothers doing everything for them. Little girls are taught how to be a woman and take care of a home and they’re interested in those things. When those little boys become men, they still act like babies that need a mom around the house...which is where they think we come in. As far as basic hygiene, idk men are just gross.
