This is less relevant to the original post, but I have a question: does sending a RedditCares message actually have an effect on one's account? Or do these men simply want to convey "you are a mentally ill woman, here are some ways to fix/get over your mental illness"?

I searched "female" on Reddit, and (one of the) first result(s) for me was FDS. I didn't entirely understand it at first, but I came back multiple times over time. Here I am now 😁

Deleting the pictures of her WITH his knowledge? Seriously? Anyone with more than two braincells knows that it is so easy to make a backup on a separate harddrive you hide from your girlfriend beforehand. You can tell she only really posted to receive affirmation that everything is alright and that she doesn't need to worry. Instead, people decided to be honest and give her proper advice. Honestly, I want to feel bad for these kind of women, but the only things I can feel bad for are their naive…

Regardless of whether malice was intended or not, if he really respected and listened to her, he would have been more understanding and realise that maybe the egg nog would not coincide with her goals of weight loss. It's like our wishes are being thrown out of the window for some temptations.

I'm in my early 20s, so uhhhhhh I don't know any men my age who are already divorced. Men my age with kids already? Super questionable, I would probably question his responsibility. Now older men with kids are another problem. These kind of men have pursued me in the past, and they have never failed to disgust me. It's like I am in the same generation as the children, yet I would be potentially adopting the role of girlfriend or wife. Even if the man was really attractive, this kind of relations…

And when I tell them how irritating it is for men (and even some women wtf) to refer to women as "females", they end up in an uproar! What, we can't say female? No dumbass, female is to be used as an adjective, not as a bloody plural noun!!! We are women! We are not just female, but we are also adult human beings! The total lack of class of some people...

First things first: read the handbook. This is FDS, and we put ourselves first in our dating lives, not the men. In the future, don't agree to go on a date with a man just because someone says that you "should give him a chance". Besides, so f--king what? Who gives a s--t what other pathetic b--tards think about what you should do with your dating life? Dating should be fun. It shouldn't be making you miserable like it is now. If a man is making you miserable? If he is unattractive? Do not waste…

Yeah, cooking is a basic life skill that everyone should learn, not just women. Not to mention this attitude where "women should feed their future husbands haha" stops many of these men from discovering the joy of cooking and expressing their creativity through their cooking.

I have mixed feelings about this new host and episode. On one hand, I agree that FDS should be for everyone, and that is women who follow FDS will have different political and socioeconomic backgrounds. Not to mention, FDS itself does not adhere to one particular ideology. That means that you will find radical/gender critical feminists (like me) in the same group as conservatives and trans-right activists. That being said, there multiple occasions where what she was saying was either factually i…

Think about it like this: his good looks are the icing/decoration on the cake, and the kind of man he is (LVM/HVM) is the quality of the cake itself. Here, the icing is beautiful, but the cake is so disgusting, that you don't even want to finish it.

This man on OLD admitted to scrolling through at least 50 search results to find me on LinkedIn. I get that I should have done more to protect myself and use a pseudonym, I just feel really upset that I can't even be myself because of male depravity. I'm so tired and sad. These are men who want to be treated like kings without having the weight of their country and subjects on their shoulders. They are not used to seeing women be greater than them, seeing women for who we truly are...And this scares them. We will win, but they desperately cling onto the last remainders of what once was - by seeking out a subservient woman as a partner, for example. They want pussy, but not the powerful woman that pussy belongs to.

Well, I'm glad that we are on a similar plane of understanding 😊 A lack of regard for a woman's satisfaction is often not limited to the bedroom and spreads to other parts of the relationship. I should have made this clearer. There is something that intrigues me, namely the part where you wrote "Girls, you are scary [sic] me." You seem quite young... I'm not going to ask how old you are, but all I have to say is that the sooner one accepts the truth, the easier it will be in the long term. Better to be knowledgeable than ignorant. Oh, and I'm sure you already know this, but we don't mince words. Do you want to know what is truly unfair for women? I did not mention plastic surgery. I am also against plastic surgery and Vindicta, so I agree with most of what you wrote anyway. It's a given to me. What I meant to point out was your statement that FDS was supposedly a radfem subreddit, which is objectively false. FDS is definitely GC, but I wouldn't label it as radfem. Whilst we FDSers very much discourage settling with an LVM, many of us still long for the company of an HVM. This contradicts with female separatism, which is a key part of radical feminism. Also, many FDSers also enjoy makeup, something which also goes against radical feminism.

I personally find the label of 'demisexual' pointless... It seems like many people would be labelled as 'demisexual' on the premise of them simply refusing to fuck someone they find attractive on sight. The only reason it's gained prevalence is because of the increase in hookup culture/casual sex, and the massive increase in porn usage. It is completely normal to want to take time to get to know a person before making love to them, and I don't think that this behaviour needs to be categorised an…

To them, having a partner is a must. There is little consideration for who gets labelled an incel, so people with high standards get lumped in together with generally unattractive, unpleasant, and even violent people. We women are often considered the weaker sex, but it's clear that (at least in today's society), that is not so much the case. Aside from physical differences, we get called worse names and receive worse treatment than merely being labelled a 'manchild'. Remind these men of their privilege, and they get particularly antsy, saying that talking about privilege is the reason why 'feminists aren't taken seriously'. That's a topic for another time/post, though.

Please make sure that the footage is removed - there are no good intentions in recording sex. Evidence often gets shared around private forums. Indeed. I used to be a member of that subreddit, but I left today. I believe I found that subreddit via FDS. My original thought was that since they were 'vs patriarchy', that radical feminism would be allowed. Do as you think is best! 😊 I speak from the perspective of a university student, and I have always lived alone whenever it is term time. You won't risk having noise you cannot control if only you live in the same apartment/flat, and you certainly won't risk rooming with people who aren't good for your mental health. If I do feel lonely, I can mitigate that by attending social events or even just my lectures and lab sessions.

Having children in one's adulthood is advantageous, as it means more profit for the privileged men. Having them in one's teenager years is disadvantageous for them, as it keeps teenagers out of school and university, reducing the quality of potential workers. [Do take this with a pinch of salt, as I am not an economist.] That being said, I very much agree with not having children in one's teenager years. Look, don't force yourself in a relationship with a person who you aren't fully into. Many people outside FDS will say that you should just give him a chance, but the reality is that you would likely feel awkward throughout the relationship, and a relationship with unrequited feelings is unhealthy for everyone involved. You don't HAVE to reciprocate feelings if some guy says he likes you and likes spending time with you.

Awhile back, a post from the r/banned subreddit was crossposted onto this one. Basically, around 92 of the top 500 subreddits are being controlled by a small group of moderators. This fact is being deleted from or swept under the rug by many subreddits. If the moderators in this group are all or mostly men, then ideas that benefit or appease men are far more likely to be found throughout Reddit. However, with a subreddit with strict rules stating only people with XX chromosomes are allowed acces…

I used to think of think of myself as a Liberal feminist when I was younger, but that didn't stop me from questioning my beliefs and the ideas commonly put forth by traditional and new media. The most obvious example was the idea that porn is good. Porn films, for the most part, are still produced for men. With this in mind, and knowing that acts depicted in these films don't really replicate real sex, it led me to wonder how or why this false depiction was supposed to benefit women in any way. …

The issue is not with people asking you about the weirdest dates you've had, it's the fact that these people are treating rape accusations so casually. Of course, they are going to be very calm about it, because they don't want to scare more potential victims away.

If a person has a mental illness, it's up to them to decide whether they want to deal with it or not. Also, remember that it's not the woman in the relationship who should provide assistance with mental health. They do not deserve to be treated like that, not to mention that not all of us are professional psychiatrists/psychologists/etc. If a person breaks a bone, am I going to fix that bone? No, that person should be sent to the hospital.

So in the statement I quoted earlier, was it that people find people who are of what they think are a similar level of attractiveness to them attractive, or is it that people find people who are actually on the same level as attractive? I'm asking about what the scientific sources say. Usually very ugly men with beautiful women have something to offer financially. The pockets of these men are attractive, but I couldn't see myself sleeping with an ugly man, no matter how much money he has.

It's a real shame. Without the shaming of women for having standards, a lot of these men wouldn't have a chance. However, without regard of what other people think of one's standards, shaming has little effect. On a side note, whilst the shaming of women occurs, the privileged white LVM stereotype and ostracise men of colour in different ways, as they are seen as potential competition. It is easier for one to shame potential competition than to pull up one's bootstraps.

It’s been scientifically proven that people are attracted to other people who are similar to them attractiveness wise. I just wonder why, if this is the case, why unattractive men often go after women far more attractive than them. Time and time again I have seen relationships where the woman looks like a goddess, but the man is quite plain and not that extraordinary. It makes little sense to me, anyway.

I've only seen school and the academic world, but I have heard before about the expectation of women to always put makeup on for what, and for what? Is it supposed to enhance our productivity or something? Why do we have to be good-looking for Joe in the next cubicle? Now, with COVID-19, many people are forced to work at home. In today's Western society, there is very little separation between a woman's beauty and sexiness. Making oneself beautiful by typical Western standards often results in one inviting unwanted sexual attention and objectification from men. There are ways to make oneself beautiful and express oneself artistically without being sexy, but the judging is still there.

Fair enough. In my university, if one person happens to not put/put less effort in, then the others do often end up pulling their bootstraps, with the consequence that those who put more effort in get significantly higher marks than the others. As a result, it can actually be quite beneficial for one (for example in pair programming coursework) to say that they put more effort in, even if it results in conflict between them and the others. The best thing always, though, is solo coursework. Sure,…

I don't see how her reasons are superficial? If the woman in the post is levelling up, and her man isn't, then there would be less compatibility, just like in the commentator's relationship. We shouldn't shame these women's standards. What happened to recognising and getting what one wants, and not settling for less? Liberal feminism, the most commonly promoted form of feminism by traditional and new media, encourages sex work and the usage of pornography. Many people aren't familiar with other forms of feminism, such as radical feminism or Marxist feminism, or they actively discourage the other forms, which are more critical of sex work and pornography. It's no wonder that people become shocked nowadays when one expresses distaste towards sex work and/or pornography.

What you are forgetting is that the speaker in a piece of artwork does not equate to the artist. Many people who don't analyse art forget this, and assume that just because some artwork portrays a depressed, vulnerable woman or a serial killer means that the artist is or wants to be those things. That would be ridiculous, and would limit artists significantly in terms of what ideas and messages they can express.

Easy: by keeping a diary and/or by telling your family. Keeping in contact with your family, telling them how your day was and any difficulties you are facing is much better than by spilling your guts out to a person who will only see you as a pretty face. When I entered university, I had assumed that I would have no issue finding a suitable suitor. 1.5 years down the line, and I have accepted that it is unlikely for me to find a suitor. Not only that, but my goals have taken precedence, meaning that I don't even need to become stressed about finding a partner. If one comes along, then wonderful. If not, then I will be fine. It will happen some day anyway, I know for certain.

Ahhh, the wonders of being an OT7-stan... I can never choose. Not only are their visuals great, but their musical abilities and personalities are wonderful as well.

Ahhh, I apologise for not making myself clearer. Say the ratio for the salaries is 1:2 in favour of me, then when deciding who should pay how much, then the costs would be split 1:2 in favour of me. If the ratio is 1:1, then we pay equal amounts.

I would imagine that if partners earn the same salary, then they should pay the same amount for bills. If, say, one partner makes twice the amount as the other, then that partner should pay twice as much as the other.

In these cases, I would much rather have a proper conversation to ensure that they would pay for a morning after pill and other necessities. Then again, I've never engaged in casual sex, since my standards for men and women are very high, and I would rather have a romantic relationship to increase the level of communication between the partners.

At first, I read the first image thinking that surely he could tell the woman that he has feelings for her in a polite manner, until I saw the comment in the second image. It was then that I realised he was more interested in just using the woman for sex, rather than in getting to know the woman as a whole person. This behaviour is disappointing, but unfortunately still common.
