What does she do for work, if I may ask?

Glad to hear he stepped up, but continue to be cautious. You do not know if he is truly a HVM until he has proven himself over the span of months/years. Keep a cool head, and good luck!

I’m just here to second the advice to cut her off. I know it seems ruthless, but are you really willing to keep tolerating what she brings to your life? For how much longer? Will you tolerate it for another year? 5 years? 10 years? Do you REALLY want to put yourself through what will come? It’s not your responsibility to save her. At this point, she can only save herself. You have permission to let go of this friendship.

This is not a sugar baby sub. We encourage women to have their own means of income so they never depend on a man.

First off, please know that his treatment of you has NOTHING to do with your worth. You are worthy of love, respect, protection, comfort, happiness, and peace — always! I’m sorry for what he did to you, sweetheart. From the get-go, he planned to use you, and that just shows what a trash human being he is. My piece of advice would be to make men prove themselves to you longer. You need to get more ruthlessly than before. Good luck, love.

Tbh, FDS focuses on male-female relationship dynamics. I am not a lesbian, so I have no useful comments to make.

I got off work not long ago and I’m a bit tired, so pardon me if my response isn’t super well written. This is the thing: Men and women are wired differently when it comes to dating. They think differently and behave differently. Therefore, the same rules do not apply to both men and women. We do ourselves a huge disservice by thinking that we should ensure men and women have the same experiences dating. Men and women should not have the same experience. Why? Differences in our natures. Men are …

In my opinion, when a man keeps dating other women, he is keeping his options open and therefore signaling that he is not that into you. I personally wouldn’t continue dating a man that is also dating other women because, if he wanted to lock me down, he wouldn’t be dating other women. Also, men know pretty quick if they’re into you or not.

Trust your gut if you are scared. Please, please trust your gut. Can you get away somehow? I’m extremely worried about your safety. Do you have any male relatives that can stay with you?

Sis, you are doing yourself NO favors by keeping this man in your life. He 100% sounds like a future abuser. He is not a high-value man. You KNOW deep down this man will not contribute to your long-term peace, happiness, or prosperity. Also, re-read the Handbook.

Please read the Handbook ASAP. The fact that he isn’t sure whether he loves you or not after 8 months is a huge red flag. At this rate, you’ll be a forever girlfriend. If I were you, I would break it off. I’m sorry.

You raise a good point regarding covering up. Is it really a choice if you’re afraid of the repercussions you will face by not wearing the hijab? A story on this point. One Muslim woman once told me that, when she first came to the US, she stopped wearing her hijab for some time. However, when she came across other Muslim women at school, she started wearing the hijab again because she feared judgment.

At the risk of getting downvoted, I'll admit that out of the world's major religions, Islam takes the cake when it comes to oppressing of women. Of course, Christianity is also problematic in some ways, but we do women worldwide a disservice if we ignore the horrific treatment of women under the Muslim religion. I work at a place where we interact with people of many different countries, and it is from the Muslim women that I have heard horror stories. One young girl, about seventeen years old, …

I'll include both date suggestions and lame dates I actually went on. I was never a pick-me, but I did tolerate some BS due to my naivete and ignorance. This was all pre-FDS. This military guy wanted me to drive 35+ mins to his house to go walk his dog around his property (which was apparently rather large). Looking back, I was naïve and thought he really only wanted to walk and talk. It seemed wholesome. Thank goodness I didn't go because I could've very well been raped. He had lost his virgini…

You 100% did the right thing. Men want good-looking women? Well, they'd better foot the dinner bills because self-maintenance as a woman is EXPENSIVE. Hell, I don't make a lot of money (yet) or wear a lot of makeup, but my current monthly self-care expenditure goes into the hundreds.

It isn't helpful to shut down conversation by accusing people of victim blaming. Am I saying the woman of the post deserves her current situation? No. I would never say that. As others have said, the key is that the date needs to involve an investment of time, effort, and money from his part. Men literally can’t bond with you romantically if they don’t do things for you (aka invest their resources). A date that involves walking to some degree but shows thoughtfulness and investment is A-OK.

‼️Attention Lurking Scrotes‼️ If you’re too broke to get married properly (like the guy above), then don’t get married. Get out of the way and let the woman marry a more suitable and financially successful man. A man with the means wouldn’t be complaining about PROPERLY celebrating his union to the woman he supposedly loves, and with whom he will be spending the rest of his life. Take a break for sure, hun! I also felt burned out from dating. Remember, don’t take ghosting personally. He is ONE man out of 3.8 BILLION. Just put that into perspective. Should your experience with ONE man really have that much influence over your self-perception? You determine your value, not a man. It’s OK to feel sad for a bit (it’s human), but always remember your sadness should be fleeting and temporary. You do not mope over men indefinitely. You feel sad for a day, brush the dust off you…

Have you read the FDS Handbook? If not, do so immediately. Take a loooong break from dating. I'm serious. You have a lot of work to do on yourself, and I mean that in the kindest way possible. You are in no way ready to go back into the dating world. You need to stay away from men and heal yourself. Stop telling the men you date about your vulnerabilities. You're attracting abusive men by telling them about your issues with body image, etc. Together with reading the Handbook, take a look at FDS …

I tried asking a guy out once by giving him my number. He was a cashier/bagger, and I thought he was cute, so I wrote a note that said something along the lines of “Hey! My name is XXX. I agree that waaaayyy too many people have been posting without doing the bare minimum and reading the Handbook. If you haven't read the Handbook, don't post. After you read the Handbook and even peruse through older posts, then you can ask a question if it hasn't been answered by the Handbook.

Best of luck to you, sweetheart. You don't deserve a 23-year-old partner that can't keep his erection because his brain is so fried with porn. Always do what is best for you (in this case, dumping this NVM porn-sick man).

Sis, he is porn-sick. Plain and simple. He is 23 years old, and he is struggling with ED??? You've got to be kidding me. You can't and shouldn't be the one fix him. He has to save himself by quitting pornography and getting PROFESSIONAL help. You know what you must do: Dump him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/09/20 08:37 PM

You... Block them for good. Never look back. In all seriousness, just block him. He clearly ain't it for you, and you know that. If it ain't a fuck yes, it's a fuck NO. You deserve someone that will prioritize you. Let me tell you another thing: The one and only person you will be with for the rest of your life is you. You need to love, respect, and protect yourself above everyone else. How will you go about that? You'll have to figure that out moving forward. Best of luck to you, queen.

Have you read the Handbook? You need to read the Handbook cover to cover. Do you really think that your impulse to reach out to him shows that you love yourself? You need to learn to love yourself above everyone and everything else. You should be the #1 most important person to yourself. I recommend listening to this video.

THANK YOU! I am shocked to see some women support this song. The music video normalizes pornography, and the lyrics are so disgusting I never want to hear them again. We should speak out against men and women that attempt to normalize pornography and convey degrading/violent sexual messages. Just because Cardi B and Megan are women does NOT mean they get a pass.

It is against FDS values to try to justify LV behavior in both men and women. Cheating is low-value behavior. No HVW would cheat.

The problem is some women that come to FDS don't bother reading the Handbook. Rule #8 of the sub is that you MUST read the FDS Handbook before you post. However, what do some women do? They straight up ignore the Handbook and immediately post to "seek advice," but really the majority of the time they're just making excuses for their LVMs. I'm sick and tired of reading "I am in a relationship with this POS that treats me horribly, but I love him and he's depressed and it doesn't matter that he is…

They can't learn to stand on their own if you insist on propping them up. THIS 1000%. It is not virtuous to mother immature men. We women sometimes sadly fall into the trap of seeing a grown man who is incapable or unwilling to act like an adult and think, "With a bit of encouragement and/or help, I can help him be better." However, not only are we depraving ourselves of our own time, energy, and resources (all three which are better spent on ourselves), but we are also preventing them from real…

I tried Match for 2-3 months. For reference, I live in the southwest of the US, in a highly populated city. Match was definitely better than, say, Tinder or OKC in the way that I never received an outright disrespectful sexual message. I definitely got some slightly weird messages, but the men tried to be more thoughtful I think. Sadly, the pool is more limited for people in my age range (I am in my early 20s). Perhaps those in their 30s and 40s would have better luck since people on Match are g…

If you haven't read the FDS Handbook, do so immediately. The other comment is absolutely correct to point out that when you're "just trying to be nice," LVM will take your niceness as a sign that it is OK to disrespect you. Read the FDS Handbook.

It sounds to me that, although you have read the Handbook, you failed to learn the most important lesson in it -- you must love yourself above anything and anyone else. From what you say, it is clear to me that you don't truly love yourself. You have loved him over your self-love, self-respect, and dignity. Why? For no good reason at all. Your work isn't over. Men with no ambition make my blood boil, no joke. I know a man who is nearly 50 years old... he has no savings, no health insurance, lives with his mom, never got married, never had children, and drives his grandmother's old car. Apparently, he has had 30ish jobs in his life. He only has an associate's degree, and he never completed his bachelor's because he thought his professors were "trying to tell him how to think," which is such a BS excuse in my opinion.

One of the things that most pisses me off about men nowadays is that they think having a wife and children is a burden and not a privilege. If you think about it, men in the past literally killed beasts and other men for the privilege of getting a woman to bear his children, and not all men were lucky to get a woman before they died in war or something. In fact, more women have been mothers than men have been fathers throughout human history. In my opinion, it should be unacceptable for modern m…

You need to read the Handbook. It is much, much too early to be getting emotionally attached to this man. I agree with many of your listed characteristics. Like you, I'd like a partner who is ambitious, health-oriented, tall, intelligent, and family-oriented. You should absolutely dump him. First of all, I consider it a HUGE red flag that you are 20 and he is 27. Do NOT ever put up with a man that disrespects you. He is not a boy. He is a fully grown man. He should know better by now, and he isn’t going to change. My main problem with the situation you described is this: He has not acted in a way that clearly and strongly demonstrates he wants to lock you down. This man has not clearly pursued you or asked for exclusivity. Instead, what you describe sounds like a “falling into” some sort of situationship in which he gets to reap some emotional/physical benefits from you. Why is he so indecisive and wishy-washy? Sweetheart, the behavior you describe from him is extremely low-value. If a man told me I “ruined his high” when I was seeking clarity on our relationship status, I’d boot him out of my life. Think very carefully about what that statement says regarding his feelings toward you. He clearly does not respect you, and he is comfortable with the “status quo” since you give him wife benefits. Read the FDS Handbook and get rid of this LVM yesterday.
