I'm not gonna get into a essay long back and forth argument with you but I read what you wrote. I really don't have anything to say to you because I've dealt with your specific brand of MGTOW before but I simply feel sorry for your wife that you really metaphorically beat her over the head with disdain for being a woman. *How many men she's had inside her?" "Women don't make choices/long term commitments?" How women have you been with? Or is that conveniently irrelevant because of some caveman "…

Her tiktok username is in the video but I didn't look deep through the rest of her profile, and didn't see in her bio where she is. People could message her to check out FDS though.

Yeah no don't be sorry, I don't blame you, that was my impression initially. She kind of gives me low-key martyr vibes. I understand though that it's hard to get out of these situations when you 'think' you're in love with someone who is emotionally, and verbally abusing you and there's several kids involved and the whole 'sunk cost fallacy'. I made another comment that her most recent video was her giving an update that seemed like she was actually going to make a plan to leave the situation. S…

Her most recent video is of her thanking people for the supportive comments and encouraging her to respect herself and her kids and gtfo. But also, she said he climbed in the bed with her (after playing video games all day ofc) and said to HER, "So are you going to apologize?" She was flabbergasted and was incredulous. Praying she's making a solid plan to get out after that if she already wasn't before.

You're welcome, I'm so glad I could help 🥰. You only have one life and you deserve love, respect and reciprocity from people you choose to keep your life. You are the star of your movie that is your life.

I can't diagnose you or assume exactly how you are just from some comments but you are probably unhealthily codependent ky attached to him and that's not your fault, I'm sure hes been giving you hot and cold, mixed signals which makes breaking away from him more hurtful than it needs to be. But it will be best for you. Break off from him and start therapy and surround yourself with supportive people in your life. Break it off. That's it. It doesn't get better with guys like that. You will put yourself through unnecessary emotional turmoil for a man who doesn't even know what the clit is? And he guilts you, yet doesn't put any effort into making things more comfortable or pleasuring for you? Please leave him. He doesn't understand you as well as you think you do if you have to justify all of these things to yourself. I've been there.

I think it's because Morticia Addams is a fictional character in a healthy relationship with her rich husband who genuinely loves her and is not being financially abused. But the reality is that for many women in real life who are SAHMs, is that their physical and emotional labor, housework, childcare, blood sweat and tears are not even considered worthy enough to acknowledge as work, let alone receive proper financial compensation from it from their husbands. I support SAHMs! I just acknowledge…

I think what also bothers me is how insidious it all sounds too. "She was being a real ***** for a few months" "Now that she's better she realizes how lucky she is". Like what? I wouldn't be surprised if she was finally wising up to his abuse and/or was going through some big life event and he just minimizes it down to her being a *****. And now that she accepts his abuse again she is "better" in his eyes. It's so sickening.

For some context, his comment was posted on a tiktok video about a wife talking about "not making my husband responsible for my hurt". But the comments had a couple "every woman should be like you" bullshit, some women pointing out that men in their lives never take their needs into account (and people invalidating their experiences) and then there's this pos. I cannot agree more. It really is the norm for women to internalize the hatred that men have for us, unto themselves, even in the name of leveling up or self improvement sometimes. It's sad. Its socially acceptable self harm for women. I agree with you whole heartedly that it benefits us to acknowledge the abusive, shitty, bare minimum men for what they are, garbage, and not letting ourselves feel bad that we didn't get picked by the garbage. We do the picking.

Of COURSE he would say "he's just not that into you" who else is it benefitting? It benefits men like him to push the blame and shame onto women by implying oop sorry you just weren't his type, sucks to be you when talking about men treating women shitty in a relationship (or doing the bare minimum). What she said was verbally abusive point blank. But he is a whiny, self congratulatory piss baby who is passive agressive about not receiving sex from his wife who lost a child. The comments on that post are so infuriating. So many comments saying she's in the wrong for "suddenly quitting her job and not telling her husband" and that she needs to communicate with him even more ofc and even saw one comment that claimed that by quitting her job (DUE TO BEING TRAUMATIZED) "she showed him as much respect as he showed her it needs to be a unilateral decision etc". I'm curious, why do you rate yourself (or other women) numerically..? It's kind of irrelevant and plays into the other only places I've seen that done like on incel subs here on reddit or PUA or manosphere areas of the internet and in life.

The only way this would remotely make sense is if it's like a 99 year old dude with really bad dementia and alzheimers. And even then, it's still not okay and you need to set boundaries or he needs to have a caretaker/caregiver/live in nurse along with a maid or nanny. Smh.

I was really trying to understand your point of view until you said FDS women are "above that mindset" in reference to women who are abused and traumatized from their feelings with men (which is a lot of us unfortunately). Like, come the fuck on. You're almost trolling at this point. You can encourage women to better themselves and gtfo the awful situations they in and also extend empathy sans the victim blaming. It's not that hard you just don't have the nuance.

I literally said "omg" in my head when you read that. It finally made it click for me. Men don't take pride in having a high body count of prostitutes or """""easy"""""women. There is a reason so many men lie or hint at a possible relationship only to 'pump and dump' women later. It gives them a sick sense of conquest. It literally has fuck all to do with anything the woman could have done.

I agree with what you're saying but women are actually pressured externally (by society, culture, family and friends etc) to stay with shit dudes. A lot of women are and it's easy to cave to that pressure. It isn't just in their head.

To clarify, the post he is responding to was describing the things women are told to protect themselves against men even from the time they are you g such as always check your back seat, wear your keys between your fingers, kick out the backlights if you are kidnapped in a trunk etc. And he has the audacity to say this shit. Thanks for mentioning that reacting to abuse doesn't make you the abuser. When I (stupidly) confronted my ex about his emotional abuse he immediately flipped it and said I was the emotionally abusive one because of things like me being rightfully hurt sad when he would be hot and cold (or, sorry, "closed off), and being sad when he would purposefully not say he loves me back, and when he would be bitingly sarcastic and rude. Me reacting sadly to those things like crying and feeling hurt was appa…

Her wife who is working full time did all this for him and shouldn't have had to. He can't even be bothered to do something NICE for her after she did that for him, knowing she's working full time or "a lot" too. That's so infuriating.

The most fucked up thing in this is that now she genuinely think she is doing it for herself. Like.....what? She lays out in detail how him tearing her down about her brrasts made her feel to the point she had body dysmorphia. Now she's claiming she wants the breast lift for her own confidence? She has always "known the facts" regarding her breasts? This is abusive as shit and she's helping him do it to herself. This is really upsetting tbh
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/11/20 09:15 PM

7 is genuinely so scary. I mean if the rest of the list didn't expose it, that one definitely outed himself as an abuser who will absolutely have no problem blaming you and gaslighting you for his own problems. Wow. And I feel like there's so many men (not just romantic relationships but like abusive fathers too) who preface how "hard" it is to make them upset so that it's your fault when they chose to abuse you. What.

I think it has to do with the phenomenon of dad usually being the "fun" easygoing one (little to no responsibilities outside of work if even that) while mom is type casted as the strict shrill, grumpy one (constant childcare, cleaning, cooking, teaching, emotionally caring for both kids, husband, extended family etc with no time for herself).

Learned this the hard way lmao. He was fucked up enough. I was "emotionally manipulative/abusive" for wanting him to not be emotionally constipated, stop being hot and cold, and to stringing me along in our situationship. It was all twisted back on me for being too "emotional" (read: wanting the bare minimum of him being consistently nice to me, caring, and supportive. I was expecting "too much" lol)

"I'm really disappointed in the amount of compassion you have for this guy." Whaaat????? Lmfao. Lady. You can't be serious. Your mentality of encouraging women to extend sympathy to men who are harassing them gets them KILLED. Please never give this advice to anyone else in similar situations.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/10/20 09:07 PM

This is really good advice. When I was deep in my abusive relationship, like deep, my friend asked me these questions and it was one of the first things that really planted a seed. And it still took me a little while after that to leave him. It takes so much growth, learning, and self forgiveness of what you put yourself through to eventually leave. It is hard. But yes like other comments have said your comment should definitely be a post :) more people need to see it.

It's funny you mention this, I remember I commented once on a horror story similar to this where the woman was clearly being gaslighted. I believe the story was about a woman whose boyfriend gave her a bunch of Benadryl to "shut her up" on a car ride and then told her she was overreacting. I had several people try to tell me it wasn't gaslighting because he wasn't LITERALLY telling her she was crazy or some shit. Do they just get off in being purposefully obtuse???

From looking at your other comments I really don't wanna have a long drawn out argument cause you really don't like people disagreeing with your post so I will only comment once but there's a difference between wanting to keep up your appearance for self care and health reasons versus feeling OBLIGATED to do so as a woman, especially for a future man as your post implies. If it's for women taking care of themselves FOR themselves why mention relationships and marriage at all? 🤔 And I hate this notion of women "letting themselves go" if they don't constantly put 24/7 effort into their appearance. Not all nursing culture is like this, but the phrase "nurses eat their young" is not uncommon. That isn't the first time I've heard women excuse away bad behavior from men in their life because "I'm not perfect"or "I'm a bitch sometimes" or some other thing. Why is this? Context: Post this was commented on was about some supposed 'radfems' who want to take the L out of LGBTQ according to the poster. (I'm not sure why??) But then this chick starts talking about how all female feminists don't embody true feminism and she only trusts male feminists cause they fight for "TRUE FEMINISM"...good lord.

I love knowing that intersectionality (or wanting woman's rights for anyone other than white women) has to come "later". That we have to wait our turn. Nah. The fight for intersectional feminism is one that continues even today and is perpetuated by comments like yours. I doubt there were zero intersectional feminists. Many woman black panther party members have said quotes about woman's rights and the importance of including black and other women of color in the woman's right movement. Susan B …

Societal gaslighting from people who are supposed to be well meaning is a BITCH. You worded it so well when you explained how people see a woman being single like a "disease". I wish I could upvote your comment a million times. Glad FDS helped you where society failed 💗

Really not understanding this mindset of the guy in this story and your own, that if someone was sexually assaulted or raped that instead of directing your disgust at the fact the situation happened at all, you direct it all at the person it happened TO. Like it was their fault..? It's just victim blaming with extra steps. Like another commenter said I don't think it's a good idea to date at all if past sexual traumas of a partner are a deal breaker for you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/09/20 12:25 AM

Yeah, agreed. Was confused on the negativity towards the original poster. It doesn't look of virtue signaling or patting himself on the back at all, especially with the edit. Doesn't make him special, just makes him a decent, normal human being.

Usually. But usually not just that. Low self esteem mixed with poor examples of healthy relationships, little to no boundaries, sometimes previous abuse in their life growing up or in past relationships, a naive or too much of a forgiving nature etc.

My point still stands. Men aren't the end all be all. Having a man should be nice but it shouldn't be a requirement for your life, at any age! Especially if you feel you have to rush and settle for one. I'm not sure how old you are but I can guarantee there are plenty of women around your age who get along just fine without a guy. It's not to say you can't want a guy in your life. But the key word here is want. Versus need. Feeling like you need a man is a recipe for disaster and long term resen…

Why Bojack Horseman? I really loved that show and thought it was great representation of mental health issues and didn't glorify Bojack's shittiness to others and showed that you can't keep projecting your mental health issues onto others and ruining their lives. See: LVM everywhere who refuse to see a therapist. A couple quotes in there actually lit a fire under me to get over my LVM with Princess Carolyn's relationship with Bojack.

I think you can recognize women in these abusive (key word here) relationships are enabling them, for sure. But also looking down on them for being in such relationships and saying they have "literally no excuse"..🧐. You don't have to settle for a mopey and insecure guy either. Is he someone you could see yourself saying with long term if nothing about him currently changed? If no, then think really hard about what you want in a partner. I don't know your relationship but the way you speak about it, coupled with the 11 year age gap is very concerning.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/07/20 04:50 AM

This is sadly so true. I learned about the "Just World" theory through a comment on this sub and it fits a lot of people's mindset who victim blame and kick people while they're already down. Basically this cognitive bias is that people get what they deserve. People who get bad things in life must have done something bad to deserve it, and people who get good things in life have done good things to deserve it. It's really fucked up and I think a lot of us have this bias without realizing it.

I definitely noticed that too. Like her value becomes diminished because someone (probably a dude in this context...) did something fucked up to her. ""Damaged goods"" ""Daddy issues"" ""Crazy"" all commonly used terms LVM use to describe women who have been abused or who have been through trauma. But women are supposed to baby and stay through thick and thin with men with "Mommy issues" and who have also gone through trauma (that they refuse to get help or therapy for).

Someone already explained to you why that is not always true but that comment alone shows a very narrow minded view that because it's not hard for you to stay in shape, that this applies to everyone and that they're just not trying hard enough lol. There are so many factors that go into weight gain that saying "it's not that hard" shows an extreme lack of perspective and a narrow worldview. Menopause, hormonal issues, hypothyroidism, bed rest from being in …

I know exactly which video you mean. It was traumatic to watch. That same guy with either the same, or another group of disgusting pieces of shit excuses for males carried a woman and threw her into the dumpster, laughing at her and filming her why she cried and was terrified. And I think what upsets me the most about this post from her, is the assumption that women will always take over domestic tasks, and if not it will be done as "a team"....(see: The woman having to constantly ask him to do basic cleaning up after himself). But yeah "nagging" your boyfriend or husband to do the dishes means you lack respect for him and want to feel "in charge". Okay. You have every right not to involve yourself in overweight people's lives or form relationships them though (and that would be best for them too). Thyroid problems, medications, trauma, had an accident and was on bed rest, maybe they're currently working on exercising/losing weight and used to be even heavier, etc. Culture is a factor as well (Pacific islander comes to mind). Being physically active and eating a healthy diet is so important! But I don't think generalizing everyone who is obese as not having self-control and incapable of fixing their own mistakes as true across the board is helpful. There are many reasons someone can be obese or have extra weight on them and it doesn't automatically equal a personality flaw. Equating weight/physical shape with morality or good/bad character traits is dangerous, more so for women.

See, I wonder about this sometimes (specifically in regards to your comment about what new/future guys may think) and I have some mixed feelings about it. I agree that it shouldn't be something you bring up with future/new guys unless commitment and high value behavior has consistently been shown (in my opinion at least). Sure, but incels on their subs are literally advocating for wanting women killed and raped. versus: A woman """rudely""" calls out one low effort 40 year old dude for his date suggestion. Incels have a problem with women merely existing, let alone setting standards for ourselves. Policing ourselves to appease incels is really not a great take.

I agree with this. Also with another comment in here that mentioned the author of this so called wonderful book advocates women sleeping with guys ASAP. Nah I'm good. HVM exist, and while it is vital for women to vet vet vet men they are seeing a lot of the talk excerpted from this book at least just sounds like it is excusing men from any type of responsibility cause their penis made them do it.

If you think defund or reform the police or "police the police" statements automatically means "fuck victims of crime" you haven't actually looked at the specifics of what the people advocating for it are wanting. Eg: Not wanting police to be called to mental health situations where they can often escalate the problem and actually focus on violent crime. I'm not 'labeling' it anything. I'm calling you out for what you're literally doing. You don't actually care about "''"black on black violence"…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/06/20 01:22 AM

I'm a little skeptical of your last talking point since many of the same proponents of BLM are also outspoken about violence in black communities. I do agree that violence to black women from black men isn't talked about as much. However, the "what about black on black crime" whataboutism is a common alt right talking point. Sooooo uh what's your point

Wow. Thank you so much for your kind words. I kind of just had am epiphany when you said "abusers make sure it doesn't even if they pretend to detach themselves". I think I blame myself a lot for not being able to get out of it sooner because him detaching and being hot and cold and distant "should" have been enough for me to see the light and get out ASAP. But your kind words mean a lot to me. Thank you. 💖

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/06/20 07:41 PM
2

I hate to be that person but if she was overly controlling and screaming over you when you were a child was she really a "good" mom? Would we categorize this kind of behavior from our romantic partners as "good"? Why for our parents? Accepting this behavior as children from our parents makes us more susceptible to allow it in our friendships and particularly for women, romantic relationships as well. Just something to think about .
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/06/20 07:21 PM

God that is frustrating. They wouldn't have been happy until you were literally breaking your back and dying to take care of your brothers and and accepting your mom's mistreatment of you with a big smile. Because tiring yourself out to the point of peak exhaustion for the sake of family, friends and romantic interests is just what women do. Especially daughters because they "owe" their mothers for even existing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/06/20 07:19 PM

Yup!!! I feel like too many women all over the world (but especially those of us in FDS) might relate to the stories in r/raisedbynarcissists. So many of us growing up were most likely gaslighted, taught to be overly critical of ourselves, or mistreated and told that's just the way life is and to deal with it, abused for speaking up for ourselves as a child, saw unhealthy marriages growing up with unequal division of labor, brothers who got away with things we didn't solely based on us being a g…
