how do you guys handle rejection? There are lots of other guys out there. You shouldn't be upset or bothered at all, it happens to everyone. Especially from someone you felt was amazing? It sounds like this is the first guy and the first date you have had in a long time. If it is then that is probably why it felt amazing. How do you move on quickly? Go on other dates and just get over it. I'm guessing that this is the first date you went on in quite a while, maybe I'm wrong but that is how it re…

I know there was a book called Myspace to Your Place. I never read it but give it a look. Otherwise just dig around and you should find some good material. Most importantly though, the general knowledge and wisdom of pick-up. Things like confidence, kino, inner game, all of this stuff applies whether your in a nightclub, doing day game, or online dating.

Ya sure. I don't think there was specifically anything that went bad. All those dates we went on I was an AFC and too clingy, which I think just piled up and caused frustration. I think the first few she put up with it because she could tell I was a bit nervous though as the dates went on and I didn't change I think she started to pull away emotionally. As she pulled away I acted like more of an AFC and more clingy which just caused a downward spiral. On the third date we ended up on her bed mak…

Not sure if this technically counts, since it was just before I learned of this community though it is the reason I am interested in this stuff. A friend of mine set me up on a blind date with one of her friends. HB8 and really nice. Ended up dating two weeks, four dates. First date went well, second alright, third good, fourth badly which is when she said she wanted to be friends. I think it was about a week later I stumbled upon this forum, don't even remember how exactly as I wasn't looking f…

I'm glad this got posted. Before finding this community I always thought that attraction was just the naturals and unnaturals (which is a bad way, and usually untrue, way to look at anything in life). I know looking at this as a skill-set has been what got me into this and it's changed my life, so hopefully others can get out of that FA mindset and change their lives for the better.

I never meant to imply that you were gay, not sure where you took that from. All I meant to say is that you don't (and shouldn't) do anything you're not comfortable with. Draw the line wherever you feel like drawing it.

You don't have to have sex with any women you pickup. Whether you do day game, night game, or both, you can always just get a number (k-close or go as far as you like) and just go out on dates until you feel comfortable having sex with them, even if that isn't until marriage.

Be confident. I know everyone probably knows this, but just last night I walked around a party like I owned the place, despite only knowing one person there, and was treated as though I really was the owner of the place. I wrote a FR about it, but the TL;DR version is essentially I K-closed a girl and stayed at the party while others were getting kicked out. So remember, confidence, confidence, confidence.

Haha. I'm not metro and don't think that I come off as gay. I feel like I do come off as masculine and assertive, and I did grind on her and kissed her at the end of the night so that should clear me of the friend zone. Thanks for the help.

It didn't really seem like a shit test. I realize that in many instances this would have been but she said it like it was a general worry of hers, not a shit test, which is why I just kind of laughed it off. Any way don't worry about the tangent, it's good advice and good to read.

Well she didn't exactly say she was free, she said that all day she was doing was homework, which I guess can be interpreted either way.

I agree. Also girl's typically don't initiate or escalate the kino, which means that you have to. As long as she isn't pulling away she isn't uncomfortable, so I would say just keep slowing escalating, and if she does pull away just take a step back and then start escalating again.

I need to relax more. While talking with a two-set they asked if I was nervous, I said I wasn't (I honestly wasn't at that point), asked if I seemed like I was nervous and they said I did. I'm actually quite glad they said that because I really wasn't nervous and didn't know I came off that way, which could have really been bad for any of my future approaches if this was not pointed out to me.

It's not even that the sets have gone downhill, and maybe it is just that I'm making assumptions, but usually if I say I'm out alone I get the sense they think it's weird. Although you are right that I should just own it and not make a big deal out of it. I guess I was also looking for other responses I can give, and I do like the two that you give, will have to try them out tonight.

I recommend a funny movie with a sexual side to it. It'll make her laugh and feel comfortable and get her mind slightly towards the idea of sex. eg. Superbad, 40 year old virgin, forgetting sarah marshall, etc.

Lots of malls and stores that have make-up will have someone that knows a good deal about make-up and will do a free demo. I know this may sound weird but go up to them and ask for a make-up demo and tell them what you're looking to do. They will give you good advice.

I have watched all of these and can highly recommend them. The lengthy seminar DVDs and books can be a lot of help, especially to someone who is new, but the three videos listed above are very good and well worth the short watch.

no one else in my group does game or whatever. Exactly the reason I sarge alone. Even the friends that I have that claim they have game, or are good with women, I've found too be useless. I personally sarge alone, and I think a lot of other guys in seddit do too. Try sarging alone and then look back at what you did, both wrong and right, and come and ask /r/seduction about anything you're curious about.

Well I think the basic idea is that you keep asking the girl out until she says yes. As I remember reading from The Game, Tyler Durden put is as "She can't say no forever". (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) I've known guys that have used this and it's worked for them. A guy I know is marrying a girl he plowed, so I suppose it can work, though I personally think it's more effort than it's worth.

She pulled away and said it almost as if "I like you but I have to put up my anti-slut defence." I learned a lot from gambler's video that ThrowawayPUA pointed me too so I think that should work in the future.

I've heard lots of girls say things like this including myself. First off, it's going to happen, I don't understand why girls and guys do it but they do it for whatever reason so you just have to deal with it. Second, if you're just a fun person and being yourself everyone will see what kind of person you really are and will realize that chick was full of shit. People make judgements of those they encounter themselves as opposed to what they hear. People I believe are biologically determined to …

I haven't yet. I picked up some st.patrick's day themed necklaces at a dollar store which I will be wearing out come st.patrick's day so I guess I will try out peacocking then and see how it goes.

Solo, I usually get cock-blocked by my friends so I definitely go solo. I'd like to find a good wingman though to see how it goes (haven't found anyone through seddit).

Just ask them too dance. Literally walk up and say "You look like you want to dance." If they are already at a show dancing they obviously want to dance so just ask them and if they don't want to they'll just say no. I'm sure some other PUA will give different opinions, some which I'm sure are better, but this is the simplest and will work a good amount of the time.

you focused too much on the target girl and didnt give the whole set the attention it needed to enable you to go all the way. Yes, I agree. It's one of the things I realize I made a mistake on. I'm still new at this and I'm aware I'll make mistakes though I have learned from it and next time I'll make sure to give the entire set more time rather than just the target.

I agree. I usually try to joke around as much as I can so if I said "I'm not that kind of guy" I would say it in a sarcastic way that was not meant to be taken as genuine.

This is good advice. I usually respond by acting offended that she would even think I'm "that kinda guy", always keeping it funny though. Something along the lines of "whoa, you think I'm that easy? No ma'm! You've gotta at least take me out for dinner before we get frisky" or "whoa, you've got a dirty mind...." I think this is as good of a way to handle it as well. Sometimes this will work, I would absolutely say something like this in a similar situation, but at the same time just getting her …

Remember a bad date isn't a failure, it's good practice. Whether it was you or not, you tried things, you reflected on what you did good and bad and that's exactly what you should do. Not every date is going to be good, but bad dates are still good because they are practice and you figure out what to do and what not to do. Don't get down on yourself, I've been on bad dates, I've been rejected, it happens to everyone. Keep your head high and keep doing what your doing.

Couldn't agree with this more. Back when I was still an AFC I invited this girl over to my place to watch a movie. For the first half of the movie I was nervous, didn't touch her and kept about a foot of space between us. Luckily about half way through the movie I worked up the courage to put my arm around her and she then cuddled up to me. After the movie she kissed me and then said good night. What I'm getting at is don't be afraid to touch her and put your arm around her. If I hadn't worked u…

Haha, so explain exactly what I did that was so wrong. I met her friends and was friendly too them, despite only one being friendly to me. We all played pool and had a fun time. I didn't stop her from hanging around with her friends and when I felt like she was getting too drunk I stopped hanging out with her completely. Hate on me if you want but I don't see what I did wrong and if you'd like to explain it to me I welcome it.

Your welcome bud. Glad you enjoyed the story and feel free to take anything you like. I'd just take it slow. Make sure you only see her once or twice a week and don't stop doing anything you did before you started the relationship. should i show her that im REALLY into her? No, if she is in a relationship she likes you and if you show her you're really into her then she will think you'll always be around and will think she can be a bit distance and get away with things she shouldn't. Ya, it was fun (and different) being in a bar alone rather than with a group of friends, and I think it did help my overall game. It's only gonna get better from here. That's one of the exciting parts. Having as much fun as I did last night, especially considering how short I've been doing this, I'm really excited what it'll be like after I've been doing this for a few months, year, years, etc. So far I've read The Game, this forum and watched a few youtube vids, currently reading How To Win Fri…

Thanks, I'm so glad I forced myself to go back in otherwise I would have come back home and had a really boring night. I felt like I did a really good job of staying positive and dominant, which as I am sure you can guess, is something I would have not done before. I'm sure there were many things I could improve on, every night, every approach, I look back and think about where I could have improved, best way to learn for next time.

I use to have trouble with eye contact. I personally made two rules: 1. When I walk halls I always look every person I walk past in the eye and smile whether they look back or not. 2. Always look the person in the eye when talking unless they look towards something. It's helped a lot and now I don't have too much trouble looking people in the eye.

I used find this too, and in a lot of ways it's a self-fulling prophecy. If you think a girl won't be attracted to you, you won't be confident, you'll be distance, and do a lot of other things you shouldn't do. Since you will be doing things you shouldn't do then the girl won't be attracted to you. The reason PUA say "Always assume attraction" is because if you do this then you'll do things that will make you attractive to girls. It's all in your head and once you get this idea out of your head …

I actually found this too. What I do is I'll listen/read/watch some inspirational (just generally inspirational, not necessarily related to seduction) and I find that usually gives me more will and drive to go up and approach. Sometimes everything I'll do will be 'natural' and sometimes I'll remember some seduction material and use that.

When you walk, walk slowly and confidently, look people in the eye as you walk, don't you DARE look at the ground any time ever. First step I took, and still do this whenever I walk anywhere. Still a beginner at this whole thing but trust me, this helped a lot. Not to mention the last two. Go for this HBs from the start, don't feel you need to work yourself up to it.

So you think that doing what you're doing now is going to solve any problems? Your on a seduction forum bitching about your problems whining about how you need to get laid. Do you not see how weird and wrong this is. Anyway I'm not a counsellor, therapist, or anything even close so I'm not going to help you through anything, but since your actual counsellor is I figure you should bring any feelings up with your counsellor.

Practice. Go out to bars, shopping malls, grocery stores, etc. and get some practice. Since you're preparing for Mexico there should be no fear of rejection since you're only doing it for practice anyway.

I never thought of this strategy. Being 6'3" may be an advantage in this field. Also it'd be nice not to have to bend so far over for a kiss.

I never thought it came off as needy, maybe because it does tend to be so common. Although I do agree the other things you described are better kino. Also I agree with Pedro9000 that there are downsides(shaky hands, sweating) although I'd still go for the hand holding.

I am fine with getting rejected, it's happened before and it doesn't bother me. She's doing you a favor by letting you know. You need to know what you're looking for and cut your losses when you have to. I could not agree more, this is 100% my opinion on the matter. I was asking the OP what his opinion was on the subject. There was really no need for you to go on such a long rant since it was a very simple question.

Picking up women isn't a way to deal with your insecurities. Even if you somehow manage to get laid in the mind state that your in it will not make you feel better. See a therapist or get some counselling. Again, picking up women is not some way to deal with your own personal insecurities.

Let her know you're interested. Not saying out right say it, but ask her to get a coffee with you, see a movie with you, etc. Lots of times if a girl doesn't think you're interested in her then she won't show any interest in you. Also do NOT text or call her until you personally get her number.

You don't want to have your hand out and get denied, that would be > a pretty bad start. That's essentially what I would be worried about. It seems weird to ask the question of holding hands but maybe it's just me. It does seem like a good idea it's just saying it in my head just sounds odd.

Don't get one-itis. Long story short, opened a set of two girls, hit it off fairly well, said I'd talk to them later in the night. Starting talking with this other girl, got close/kino and # close. Never ended up going back to the original two set even though they both looked kind of lonely (friends wanted to leave early). Girl hasn't texted me back (2 texts, one yesterday, one today). I don't have any great advice but I'll just say a couple quick things. I first lost my virginity when I was 17 to my then girlfriend. Not that it was bad but we were both virgins so we didn't really know what we were doing. It was a little awkward being as neither of us really knew what to do and that was probably one of the least pleasing times I've had sex (again, not that it was bad, it just wasn't that great). The reason I'm saying this is that when you lose your v-card it probably won't be …

I always text in the same manner that I talk, or "Hey Jen, I would love to see you tomorrow, would you like to meet up at XXX Bar?". I always think, "Be the guy that picked her up, not her best girl friend."

Try to be funny in your first text, make a joke, I find that always helps. I try to use about the same amount of emoticons as she does. Try to keep the conversation short, same the talking for when you meet her in person not when your texting her. SimplePickup has this video which I suggest.
