what annoys me about these divorce settlements is the implication that he could not have made this money without the backup of his wife, or some shit like that.

going out into the world and making money is so much harder than staying at home and doing the laundry.

even making a modest amount of money, $50,000 ..... whatever it may be, is much more difficult than being a stay at home mom or whatever the hell they do.

hahaha, stuff like "she supported him during the time he was out there making money ..." or whatever

its like saying that washing michael jordan's socks is really important and it enabled him to go out there are be a winner. it ignores the hard work and tenacity, skill, luck, and everything else that goes in to any kind of success, and equates it - despicably imo - to being a goddamn housewife, which is akin to being unemployed imo

Surprised there was no mention of a pre-nup. Is it not common in that part of the world or was it something he didn't think he needed? Or did he come into most of the money after his marriage?
