It has been the orthodoxy in academia for around fifty years and has been so strong that there has been no significant opposition. Feminists jealously hold on to this monopoly on gender 'discussion', even against moderates like Warren Farrell.

Canadian government has been pushing feminist hate for decades. They teach it in schools and every college. They silence men's voices. They have government agencies that outlaws the voices of any opposition to anti-men hate. Canada is a bad place to live for men.

I also think it has to do with the fact that, on average, Canada is so highly (over?) educated. Women don't do STEM degrees here, but they all go to university which results in them doing degrees of marginal usefulness... stated more simply they learn basically nothing but social science and women's rights. I have heard some gems first-hand from my girlfriend (who had a 3.93 gpa at a top Canadian school in some social science degree) such as "white people cannot be discriminated against because they have power" "women can't be privileged because they have been repressed, earn less money etc." and there are many more.

From my experience in Canadian higher level education, it seems to be almost a competition to see how outlandishly left wing you can be. This, of course, depends upon discipline (poli sci for me). I'm quite liberal, but these people scare me sometimes.

Simply its a function of power, which forces its control. Power expresses itself at the expense of the 'Powerless'. Females have always had true power; usually subtle and hidden in the design. Sometimes it is crudely expressed like the Uni demos, which really is another form of female sexual 'bullying'. Until enough hetero males get switched on to MRAs this will happen almost everywhere. Trouble is a lotta males are clueless, have a sex addiction to feed and have a 'Freudian' fear of Mother abandonment.
