I dislike the term "First Gentleman", "lady" implies status, "gentleman", if anything, implies subservience to that "lady"; I like the term "First Lord", though I expect people will disagree with it for the opposite reason, it implies status. [edit: I get the "shitlord" parallel, it's just ironic. :X]
Anyway, assuming the first female president isn't single, what do you think people will make of him? Assuming he acts like other "First Partners", will he see undue criticism for wielding the power earned by his spouse? Will he be seen as weak next to her, as opposed to a solid, supportive foundation? Will everything be just the same? Does it depend on how he wields that power (i.e. to help men or women)? What if there are children involved?
