Amanda Marcotte wrote that Ms. Jones‘ accusations “touched on already hovering concerns about powerful defense contractors and the general atmosphere of brutality that stemmed from the war. It felt symbolic of everything that had been going wrong in Iraq.”

Not everyone is a false accuser, but Marcotte goes well out of her way to support each and every single last one of them. It's ironic, isn't it? People like her are first in line to accuse this community of sensationalizing false accusations. Yet when it comes down to it, nobody does more to further that notion than feminists in the grips of mass hysteria.

You can't win with these people. If one of these men had been found guilty, it'd be proof that the military is a horrific hellhole that needs to be put under the tight stranglehold of civilian feminists. If one of them had been found innocent and the accusers found to be lying, then it's just more proof that they military is a horrific hellhole that needs to be reformed, because justice be damned, the feminist hate brigade needs to be put in power to make men's heads roll.
