I told our personal story of my son who was falsely accused and expelled from a southern California college. I urged them specifically to amend the vague language regarding incapacitation: "(4B) Incapacitated due to the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication." The committee's comments, almost to a one, encouraged the bill's author to work to improve the language and find a better balance to protect due process rights. It was a rational conversation, in my opinion.

I encourage redditors to get off their duffs and make an effort to positively impact the world: it was not easy logistically nor emotionally for me to attend. We have to try. Luckily a lawyer flew out from Colorado to speak to it and read some personal stories. But there was only my wife and myself there to argue for fairness for males. I'm glad we were there.

We made a difference today.
