Women do act in collusion, informally at least, to maintain the value of sex. Opposition to adult voluntary prostitution. Slut shaming of women. Virgin shaming of men. Presumed monogamy in marriage. They're all deep seated social aspects of keeping the value of sex high, and women as the limiting factor.

It's ok as far as it goes - effective contraception certainly has changed the sex market. But it's only one part of technological change. More important, in my opinion, is the paid employment market. Women have been vastly enabled there, to an extent where they now out-earn men in some places. This affects the family, and, the basic product of the family, children. It is no accident that birthrates are now below replacement level all over the technologically advanced world.

I like the topic but as always the base premise is male incompetence and uninvolvement in sexual politics. Narrative is based on feminist-breed men and has no foresight on the implications of men's movement. It illustrates male power of decision and it points out how it's unutilized. Stifling masculinity and male power. It puts entire weight of intersexual climate on female biology and economics. Seems ignorant to me. The argument for prostitution for example is the same economical pretense of neglecting masculinity and reducing female sexual value. Pill changed sexuality but it's not the only culprit. Feminism changed society more and social attitudes have profound impact on sexuality. Social climate today allows men to take control of relationships and own sexuality.

This video was put out by the Austin Institute for The Study of Family and Culture, a rightwing social conservative think tank staffed by people like this well known homophobic asshole.
