The comments in the story say it all. Most of the comments support her acquittal, and if you question whether she should have murdered her husband, you're asked, "how many times have you beat your wife today?"

This jury announced that murdering rather than divorcing an abusive spouse is okay. Wait, sorry. They announced that murdering an abusive husband is okay.

"Battered Women's Syndrome" is a tort, not an affirmative defense. Not in my state. I'm fine with the tort being on the books, except for the name.
