Whatever actions feminists perform, everything feminism does (ignore what they say), that's true feminism. Women being forced to pay for their own contraception and abortions? They called that a war on women. That's feminism.

That's not really it. You're assuming the people you are talking to were being honest. They probably weren't. Feminists don't have any real interest in telling the truth. They only have one goal in a discussion and that is to "win" the discussion and lying is entirely acceptable.

What they are really doing is just saying anything that pops into their head to derail you. So one easy way to do that is deny deny deny. That's why they always go with that dictionary definition despite how obviously shitty and insincere an argument it is. if you say "well what about X?" one easy way to "win" is just to deny that X ever happens.

I see it an awful lot. In fact it is commonplace for one feminist to be denying that feminists ever do X while in the same thread another feminist is bragging about doing that same X -- and the first feminist is applauding them.

I repeat: that sort of inconsistency and insincerity is common. Very common. Sometimes it's the same feminist saying the two different things. Sometimes they even do it in two different sentences within the same paragraph.

They really just don't care about truth at all. This is a cult-like characteristic. For the feminist it's all about loyalty to the movement and nothing else. They will say whatever comes into their head to shut you down. That's their only motivation.

As I've shown, feminism has two explicit central beliefs:

men and women should be equal
women, as a class, are disadvantaged (i.e. oppressed), while men, as a class, are advantaged (i.e. privileged).

...and one implicit central belief:

equality can be achieved by giving women advantages and/or taking advantages away from men.

There are all sorts of different variants of feminism, but they are centered on what many in the MRM have come to call the "ideology of victimhood". It may seem confusing as some feminists might advocate what seems like extreme inequality. However, this can still easily be rationalized within the confines of feminism if they also believe that women are subject to extreme disadvantage.

What I propose is that we come up with a list of resources where self proclaimed feminists are pushing forward completely contradictory views on the exact same topics, which can segue nicely into any "that's not real feminism" defense. In essence, I want to counter "that's not real feminism" with "what you're describing is YOUR feminism, here's a list of resources where feminists disagree with you".

Do you think that would work with Christians too? If not, then you'll see why that wouldn't work with feminists. Each will claim their belief is the "true" belief and the others are just wrong. And hell, Christians even have a book detailing their rules and regulations for EVERYTHING, with variants that completely ignore a lot of those rules. Feminism doesn't have anything nearly as restrictive.

Feminism is advocacy for women.

The opposite group is called the "Mens Rights" group (as "masculinism" sounds weird.) MRA's advocate for men.

The golden chalice is "Gender Egalitarianism" which both groups claim to profess in addition to their gender advocacy.
