This feels a little too much like a troll. F on M assault, intoxication, unclear consent... seems a little too gift wrapped to me.

If this is an actual incident, please understand the natural suspicion to a post such as this. These are all too common from trolls seeking to quote mine snippets in order to support a "MR is a hate group! See?" agenda.

I'll answer anyway, My initial feeling is "no, you were not raped". You had a regretable and unpleasant sexual encounter. The reason I say this is that while you were drunk, you were not incapable of making a decision, that is, you were conscious. She was also drunk so she did not place you into a vulnerable position where she had an advantage by being sober. You did not say "no", or "stop". So she may have reasonably believed she had consent. A male erection is a strong symbol of sexual readiness. While it is NOT a defacto indication of wanting to have sex, you still have to indicate that you do not want to if that is the case by saying no..

Were you raped? I say no.

What do you do? simply put, talk to your friend. tell her that you were uncomfortable, explain your feelings and make it clear that she is not to behave as she did again unless you make it clear that you want her to.

Depends on who you ask, I personally would say that's not rape. There are others who would say it was. Depends on what you consider rape, really.

Assuming this is genuine.. I wouldnt say it was rape, because I wouldnt say if the roles were reversed that it was rape. However by feminist logic, this is rape.

If this is a troll, Im not too sure what they would hope to achieve.

It depends on who you ask. If we applied the same standards that feminists use when they do research, except applied to men instead of women, then yes, you were raped. However, any reasonable definition would say that you weren't raped.

From the information given the only way I would say you where raped is if she spiked your drink.

Pre 21 at a house party my (not dating) girl friend switched vodka with everclear in an attempt to rape me. I only found out because she yelled at me that I puked on hear head while she was giving me head.
