Hi all,

I often see posts on here complaining how soft society is on women who commit statutory rape. In the general community this is often met with ubiquitous resistance of "Good for them" or "Wish I was that Lucky when I was in School!"

I know this double standard is appalling and frankly anyone concerned about equality of genders should be or the forefront (yes, I'm looking at you feminists and women's/gender studies in academia).

However, I do not see this ever changing because of political reasons. Victimization is the benefactor of "women" not men in our society. And I mean this sincerely for the betterment of the cause it's a losing battle as chief call, imo.

The real armament is calling the reality that women mature earlier both emotionally and physically on average than men and aren't they less likely to be victims of "statutory" rape. Don't they "like it" just as much as men. After all isn't feminist about empowering their younger generation and not falsley painting them as victim just because of an outdated law?

I really feel the statistics are all there to start this type of tact. Especially in regards to the more liberal minded reddit community.

I know there is political potential fall-out to this approach as I type this, but what do you all think?

I, at age 30 was approached and pursued by girls half my age. One who I considered family I met at her place of work and introduced me to her friend she worked with. Later, her friends boyfriend showed up and to my amazement I was like, "How old is he?"

She told me affirmly, "He's 26!"

We had a long discussion in which she was not at all happy her plan did not go as she had hoped.

I can't be the only one with stories like this? (btw, I and like 95% of my fellow good men didn't need the negative ad campaigns those $#$% think we do)
