This guy is posing hence no creepshot, though it is a bit off that they are using his pic that way. On the other hand most pics on the front page are PR pics of celebs, so while it's a bit improper it is far from being equivalent.

Of course it's freaking not. Creepshots requires the individual in the photograph not be aware they're being photographed. The image is taken without consent.

Every single photo in Ladyboners was a consensually taken image.

The other day there was a picture taken of a man reading a book on a bus. /r/ladyboners took it down because it was a candid shot and really creepy.

All the pictures on /r/ladyboners are consensual photos. None of the pictures on /r/creepshots are.

There are many differences.

LadyBoners mostly deals with pictures taken with consent. The non-consensual pictures are not sexualized in nature.

CreepShots's pictures were ALL taken without consent. And almost all the images were sexualized. IE, pictures focused on a female's cleavage, her butt, her crotch. Some where up skirts, looking up shorts, looking down shirts, ect.

To make a full comparison, CreepShots would have to have only posted pictures of girls from afar, without focusing on their tits/ass/crotch/legs. Or LadyBoners would have to be non-consensual images focused on a man's penis, butt, arms, etc.

A further difference was the comments. In CreepShots, many comments were like this: "oh yeah I would fuck her so hard." "Mmm would love to smack that ass." In LadyBoners, it's more along the lines of "would snuggle!" "I love guys in glasses."

OK joking a side it very much is the equivalent of r/creepshots. Of course i am not offended by r/landboners so i am not going to fight to shut it down, and people from Jezebel are too firmly entrenched in their double standards to oppose it.

Cause sexism. Its a standard that women don't think pictures of men on /r/ladyboners is anything wrong. Plus r/creepshots was legal cause everything was candid.

I checked them both out, to test the waters. Technically the same kind of content, but the comments sections make them feel very, very different.

I think this is a great observation considering that the whole thing with Creepshots is going to be discussed a lot. Now a lot of people wont ever have been to either one of these subreddits (like me) so it's great that you explained what they were both doing, and I liked the comparison with non-sexual photographs too.
