If MRA's think that if women have the right to sign away legal responsibilities to their child (abortion), then men should be able to do that too, then they should also think that if women don't have the right to sign away legal responsibilities to their child, men shouldn't be able to either.

But we're talking about from an MRA standpoint - MRA's believe that men should be allowed to sign away their legal responsibilities for their children. And if they believe that, shouldn't they also believe that men should be obligated to pay for half of pregnancy and childbirth costs if abortion is illegal? That is the question I am posing in this topic.

I don't think my question is confusing. Most posters in the thread were able to give an opinion on the subject. The scenario does not have to be realistic - it is simply a matter of, "If you think men should have certain rights, do you think women should have those same rights?"
At any rate, abortion being illegal is a very likely scenario - in fact, it is the scenario in many many countries worldwide...

I haven't chosen a stance on that subject yet.

So you are saying that the government should pay for women's pregnancy and childbirth costs? If so, I can accept this as a fair, egalitarian response.

Like I said, this topic is only discussion for pregnancy and childbirth, not what happens to the baby when it is born. What happens to the baby after it is born is irrelevant to this discussion.

But if women don't have reproductive rights either, how can they possibly have reproductive responsibilities? I would add that these women consented to sex and not procreation.
Wait, so women just "allow" themselves to become pregnant? They do it all by themselves, without men?
