You're comparing occupational fatalities to domestic homicide. That's not exactly the best way to do it.

Nonetheless it is a common tactic to present stats in a vacuum. Yes, more women die from domestic abuse than men, but that isn't the whole story as the majority of violence is visited upon men, and when women are the victims of violence it's usually domestic. Not acknowledging violence as a whole is what feminists are doing when presenting that stat.

Here is the breakdown of just homicide by gender, circumstance and weapon, along with a minor breakdown of perp/victim by gender.

With around 80% of homicides being male victims and the average is 14K a year in the US, over 10 years that's...~112,000 male victims of homicide in the US. Heck, 10% of homicides are female perpetrator and male victim, so that's 14,000 women killing men over the same time period.

Oppression olympics. The deaths were from different causes. That feminist randomly brought up 10,000 deaths from DV out of nowhere and then you brought up a similarly unrelated statistic.

That's a terrible statistic, being beaten to death is very different to work deaths and should not be compared.

That's a good statistic to know about but actually isn't relevant to the specific topic of domestic violence. To counter it would have had to be how many men die from domestic violence. It's a fact that women are the primary sufferers of DV so their stats will be higher. The problem is that it should mean nothing in terms of help given towards victims. Male victims of DV should have the same options for help as women. I don't understand why some feminists try to argue that being the majority sufferers they deserve 100% of the help and victim recognition.
