There is no 'privilege' she is in the right or not based on the racism or not of the poster, not her gender.

Here is the principle behind the MRM:

When a group of people are treated as less-than human they must fight, because if they submit they become less than human.

I don't care if that woman is a feminist or not. A message was posted in a public space that denigrates her as a "savage" because of who she is, independent of what she may do (or not do).

Here is what is written on the poster:

In any war between the civilized man and the savage support the civilized man. Support Israel

This reminds me of feminists who accuse all men of being "savages" and then feel offended when men fight for our dignity and human rights.

The posters are offensive and racist.

I do support Israel, but not because Jews are "civilized" and Muslims are "savages". I support Israel because, more often than not, the foreign policy of Israel is fair and balanced. There have been many recent exceptions. This offensive poster might make me re-think my support for Israel, unless Israel rejects the support that they are receiving from fascists and hate mongers.

While I do not agree with defacing posters, the woman defacing the posters is fighting for civil rights that she should be able to take for granted. Her entire identity has been labelled as "savage" in a public space. It is outrageous that this racist poster campaign was permitted at all. Shame on whoever approved this racist message.

Now this case was clearly different since the woman was assaulted, but Baker was quite enthusiastic in her support that MRA posters ought to be torn down.

Is there any doubt that either of these two hypocrites would condemn this attack in New York? Hey maybe not, maybe they would agree that Eltahawy's free speech rights were being repressed.
