I didn't know lungs could be successfully transplanted. I have to say that those parents did a wonderful thing donating a lung for their son. But as mentioned in the article, more registered donors in general means shorter waiting lists for people who need organs.

Register yourself, because one day we're all going to die, and we won't need those organs-but somebody else might.

As a parent myself I would do the same for my child without a second thought.
