Well, according to the Duluth model, this woman really isn't responsible for domestic violence. See, as I understand it, all domestic violence is caused by "patriarchal control." When women engage in violence, it is actually the man's fault because she is just defending herself from her dangerous, abusive husband by boiling a pot of water, pulling back the sheets, throwing it on him, beating him with a baseball bat.

The evidence that obviously supports the "patriarchal control" in this relationship is that, even after being tortured, this bastard had the nerve to suggest that he didn't want his ex-wife arrested. If that is not benevolent sexism, I have no idea what is.
