“I am a courtroom prosecutor. I am a 30 year veteran prosecutor,” she said. “Homicides are my specialty. I want to run my office and I want to run my cases according to the law. And there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that says the public has a right to have a trial by internet.”

I actually agree with that. The mob rule can, and has been wrong several times. It happens on Reddit all of the time.

DV abuser violates judge's order, confronts victim in front of children, goes to car, gets gun, fires gun at victim and children.

It's ok because the abuser does not have a penis, and was (allegedly?) abused by the victim?

I admire Angela Corey's willingness to prosecute an unpopular case, and defend the outcome.

Kudo's to Angela Corey and her integrity as a prosecutor, my trust in the legal sytem has been raised. I have seen too many decisions by some female prosecutors and judges that smell of gender solidarity rather than the rule of rule.

I figured there was more to this story then the simplistic knee-jerk female victimhood jingoism.

So the woman's out on bail due to having been charged with domestic violence against the very person she ends up shooting a gun at. Who has a restraining order against her.

Yes, he was also violent, but she was escalating it.

And if Angela Corey was actually 'Archie Corey' the woman would have walked.
