I know this comparison has been made before, but back in highschool I pissed off a lot of my ex's friends and my friends (who are not my friends any more as per their choices) when one girl said "men have no right to bitch about kidney stones until the give birth to a child." Now, I have passed two kidney stones in my lifetime, compared to the amount of times they've given birth - which was 0 - so I thought I had a voice in this conversation.
So I state "Well actually, it is quite painful. I know men can't comprehend childbirth but I don't think women can comprehend pushing a stone through your urethra." And I get called sexist. I get told "you have no right to say that because you don't know what it's like to give birth to a child." I call them sexist, get the typical "men can't be sexist to women" bullshit, etc.
So was I sexist? Was I overreacting maybe or was this legitimately unfair?
