Now try to convince me that we Westerns and Americans in particular aren't completely and utterly insane and deserve to go extinct.

Honestly ... I don't really think it's entirely wrong to charge the guy with assault in this case .

I mean , in case nobody has ever noticed , sometimes french fries from McD's are REALLY hot . Not when YOU order them of course but I've seen it . ha ha

Anyway , as much of a wussy thing it may seem to be , if those fries had come directly from the fryer , well , actually yeah , they could have caused some pain . As for how much pain ... well , no , not that terrible really .

Now , on the other hand , it's a good point about that whole "Cut off a man's dick - go free / throw fries at a little girl - go to jail" thing . I'm just saying that one is ridiculous and the other one isn't entirely unreasonable .

He shouldn't be throwing anything at an 11 year old, but this charge is a little extreme. Unless the oil actually did burn her, in which case, they have a case.

The charge sounds silly but read the article... Mom and step dad get into fight with her in the car, she is a little girl, scared and tries to get them to stop, so he throws something at her face? Not a french fry, a container of them. It's not a deadly weapon, yes ha ha, but I'm sure they wanted to get him on some sort of charge for assaulting the little girl.

Charges will likely be lowered to something else and you know it. The fact that women can be abusive to men doesn't suddenly make it okay for men to start throwing shit at their stepdaughters' faces.
