But this is even worse: In another video (only 3 weeks old) he seems to say quite the contrary. Pay special attention to his reason number four.

Ugh... just keep feeding the trolls.

I don't get how people still don't understand what trolling is and why it appeals to some people. The appeal of trolling is to watch people get bent out of shape over something pointless. It's provoking a reaction.

Have you ever done a practical joke on someone? Ever jumped out and shouted "boo!" at someone? It's a really simple type of humor. On the internet, this takes the form of saying something upsetting - and you do it just to see someone get all bent out of shape about it for no reason.

So if people started posting rude comments on Sarkeesian's kickstarter page, they were doing it because they knew she would get all bent out of shape about it - not because of genuine sexist beliefs.

So why don't people post rude comments on Tim Schaeffer's game project page? Because he would simply delete them and then pay no attention. Remember the advice you got about bullies in school? The same applies here.

Sarkeesian fed the trolls on purpose though. Because any harassment she received is evidence that her cause is worthwhile. So she fed the trolls and then in turn, the trolls kept coming... and so did the money.

And as an addendum - do you assume that trolls are 14 year-old boys? Because if you do, that's a pretty sexist stereotype you have about trolls. It's not hard to imagine a troll as "immature", but it's not inconceivable for there to be female trolls - even ones posting offensive things about women.

Remember, that trolls don't care about the content of their posts at all. They only care about getting a reaction.

This guy is missing the point. Then problem is that the feminist - whose views on video games are a foregone conclusion - is going to launch an attack on the mainly male world of video games, with a view to changing it to meet her expectations.
