It is believed that men know little about their bodies. They only think they've got one organ. And they can see if it's working or not. Besides they don't like being prodded in every orifice. So they don't go to the docs much.

Men don't like going to the doctors because it usually means they will lose money for taking a day off from work, lots of men ignore health warnings and brush it off, my dad only found out he had diabetes after he had an accident, and Im sure many men ignore signs of health problems because of job security. Also it assumes that every relationship involves a man and his wife/girlfriend what about gay relationships?

I can't recall the source, (and I'm tired so I won't bother looking) but aren't men subjected to 'man flu' as they have weaker immune systems (generally) than women? Surely bringing such a subject up repeatedly is like laughing at women for some physical issue that effects them?
