Hey guys, I've been browsing this subreddit for quite awhile and decided to make a post about how I feel about it.

When I heard about Mensrights I was sort of shocked. I always thought that we don't really go through much. After browsing this subreddit and learning about the political issues, social discrimination, etc. I realized it. I realized all the sexism there is. I was raised in a family where anything effeminate was girly/gay. I realized all the gender roles, sexism in the courts etc. It's pretty fucked up.

The problem I have is that I see a lot of fighting against feminists. I'm all for rights - for Men and Women. I see a lot of "Our problems are worse then yours" coming from both parties. It sickens me. Why can't we both just accept the fact that each gender goes through a lot of shit, and come together & try and fix it. (also throughout this rant I'll probably be speaking in generalizations, please don't assume I mean that everyone is like this because they aren't)

When I'm on r/feminism they seem to have a disregard for mensrights, and vise versa.

I don't know if I got my point across correctly because I suck at getting my thoughts out there but I hope someone knew what I meant.

I do feel that women go through more of everyday discrimination. For example, the typical redditor/gamer/etc girl will hear sexism everywhere. "Make me a sandwich" "weird looking kitchen" "insert sex joke here" etc. When I play a game, go on reddit, etc I don't have to worry about that.

Sure I'll get cussed out and shit but my gender isn't being attacked by a bunch of immature morons. For a woman to be attacked on something she enjoys doing solely for her gender is pretty fucked up. I've seen the shit my sister gets sent.. she doesn't even use her mic anymore. It pisses me off, really. She's a better gamer than me and it's not fair to her that she can't play with a mic without being confronted by idiots.

It's not a huge issue, she's learned to deal with it but she's forced to not use her mic. We're twins so we're close as fuck and that's really what made me get into feminism.

The whole women being seen as sex object is true and an issue. But than there's the whole thing that we're seen as Success objects. I saw this on some other recent thread on here and it was another eye opener. If a man is a stay at home dad he'll get shit for it. "You're not a real man, you're not supporting your family and earning the money!" There was a lot more to this, I'll link it when I find it.

Also the fact that men that are raped by women rarely report it due to societies view on it. They're too embarrassed to even report it. Fuck that dude, report that shit and get her locked up.

How women get such easy treatment when it comes to crimes.. it's all just not right.

Also, I do not agree with some feminists views that they should only get equal rights on some things. Equal rights on Everything is what I believe. Equal doesn't mean "heyweshouldgetequalrightsbutheyIstillwanttobetreatedlikeaprincessnowpayforallmyshitcuzimagirl"

Anyways, thanks for reading. It was more of a rant, I suppose. I just kept seeing feminists vs mensrights and kept getting really pissed off. I guess my point is, we both go through shit so stop fighting about who has it worse!
