Seems like a statistically proven shift towards a 50-50% equal balance of breadwinner-status between genders.

The reason "even women marrying laterally is becoming more difficult" is hypergamy. Women want to marry up, it's hardwired.

I still think the entire reason feminists wanted women to get into the workforce was projection. They saw women as being attracted to higher status men, so they want the status for themselves so they'll be attractive to men, which as we all know doesn't work the same way.
