So we've all heard about the gender pay gap, and how it's a comparison of full time men's earnings to women's. We know there are big problems with utilizing such an average, but what component of men's wealth is being redistributed to women, possibly giving them less of a reason to work the same number of hours/at all or be as ambitious?

I want to compile the data for state assistance(e.g. TANF), child support, alimony, etc. and incorporate it into the earnings of men and women.

I really only have earnings of full time workers and child support. I'm having trouble finding data on alimony or state assistance to determine to whom its going. Additionally, since a non-negligible portion of custodial parents don't work full time that should be considered as well.

I'm mainly looking at the US since it's where most of my data is, but I'd be happy to do something similar for the UK, Europe, Australia, or whatever, as long as we have sufficient data.
