The definition of the word rape is altered and revised so often (mostly according to feminist lobbying), that now any vague sexual encounter is interpreted as such. Even when a woman makes no attempt to withdraw consent or properly communicate and goes through with it anyway, it is rape because she felt "compelled." The definition of rape will continue to be elastic and repurposed by feminists to assure women that they do not have to communicate properly and any sex they did not enjoy was rape.

This is akin to me not wanting to go to see a movie with someone, but since I feel compelled to go, I do anyway and claim kidnapping. Fucking communicate like a human being.

i am glad they finally had the conversation, but i am saddened by him blaming himself when she states that she couldn't even say "No."

it's a really awful feeling to have a partner who is completely unresponsive to "no" and excessively relentless until you concede, but that is not the case here. she didn't say no.

I don't see how he could even consider that to be RELATED to rape. He had a friends with benefits partner, she wanted more emotion from the relationship than he was giving it. That night when she apparently didn't want sex, she should have said. It is not the authors fault that this girl wanted to cuddle instead...she should have VOICED that opinion.

This is much like any other case of people not using science - stupid. The psychological definition of rape includes a very obvious and overt lack of consent. If she didn't say no, it's her own damn fault. There was clearly no emotional abuse, so she was capable of giving consent, and she did. The shaming is fucking awful.
