I've been working a lot of overtime and just can't seem to make time for dedicated workout routines because of this. I have started doing push ups at my desk every hour on the hour and usually get about 200 in a day once it's all said and done.

My question is whether this is even beneficial for building strength/size, because while I noticed small changes in tone and strength, I am wondering if anyone can tell me if it's basically a waste of time since it's a static amount of weight.

I would go to my work gym at the end of the day, but after my overtime hours are done, the gym is closed and there's just not enough time in the day to drive to a 24 hour gym after work. My other option is to wait til' the end of the day and run laps around my office building if cardio is the better option.

I have free weights at home that I use intermittently. It's the Bowflex dial-turn system, so good for saving space, but adds time switching out different weight amounts.
