I agree with some of his points, but can we not glorify huge assholes like this. Leftist this leftist that, gender equality is not an issue to be used to further some idiot's political agenda.

This article upset and angered me, particularly this quote:

Okay buddy, but what if it ain't a boy in that boy's body? Perhaps that kid doesn't want to be put into the "boy box" because perhaps they want to be put in a different box.

This article pulls out the same bullshit that always gets pulled out in anti-transgender stuff, comparing changing gender to changing species or changing age.

This is a common childhood fantasy, but should we point to disturbed people such as “Wolfie Blackheart” the “werewolf” and conclude that perhaps we shouldn’t impose species-oriented norms on children? Clearly, we put a little human in a human “box” not because of some arbitrary “social construct” but because he was born in a human body

While I'm not a fan of how this particular couple are doing the whole gender-neutral childrearing thing, I'll state that it is totally right for children to be raised in a gender-neutral fashion. Why? Because not all children fit into the boxes they are assigned at birth.

As a transsexual person, I can state that if I had been allowed to find my identity by myself and choose what gender to assign myself to, my life would of been much easier. Instead, I was told that I was a boy, and I was raised as a boy, despite not actually wanting to be a boy.

If we're going to be assigning the term child abuse to things, then what is really child abuse is assuming a child is cisgendered and raising them with that in mind.
