My definition:

Patriarchy - The suffering and toil of men for the betterment of women, children, and society in general.

I define patriarchy as a patrilineal culture where fathers are the outward-heads-of-households.

But as for "Patriarchy", the omnipresent feminist ideological bogeyman, yours is quite a good definition. I'd still prefer that they'd actually come up with a new word, though. Instead of changing the definition of an already existing term.
