WHEREAS, women are victims of the military in war, through rape and forced prostitution, and WHEREAS, military training relies upon sexual slurs against women to inflame soldiers into aggression, and WHEREAS, military decisions are exclusively made by male supremacists, and WHEREAS, men themselves are subject to loss of life and personhood by being subject to compulsory military service from which women are exempt, and WHEREAS, women in the military are restricted on the basis of sex in job training, education, area of service and are confined to low level, non-policy positions, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that NOW condemns the degradation of women by sexist practices within the military and the sexist basis for compulsory military service.

This policy was adopted by the NOW National Conference in 1971.

Like almost everything else feminists come up with it, is full or falsehood: military training does not rely on slurs against women to inflame soldiers into aggression, women are not confined to low-level, non policy positions and military decisions are not made exclusively by male supremacists.

However, contrary to what you say, this short text does NOT do anything to undermine the "feminists don't care about men" argument. In fact, it supports it. The statement is quite clear: "NOW condemns the degradation of WOMEN (my emphasis) by sexist practices within the military and the sexist basis for compulsory military service. " NOW has nothing to say about the effects on men of the sexist basis for compulsory military service. Ergo, they do not care about men.

Frankly, if you have to go back to 1971 for a statement of around 200 words to justify the idea that feminists also care about men and cannot come up with anything better than this, you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
