This is a great comment from that post that I feel puts it all in perspective:

Once again, the women go for the EMOTIONAL INCOME at the expense of the FINANCIAL INCOME. Once again, men go for the FINANCIAL INCOME at the expense of EMOTIONAL INCOME.

The above fact trend (same old, same old) adds up to financially richer and emotionally unhappier men and financially poorer but happier women.

And to boot, the state taxes men’s primary income (financial) while leaving women’s primary income (emotional) untaxed. And such are in addition to the fact that the financial income of the male comes at the SELF-ADMINISTERED EMOTIONAL TAX of having to do jobs he doesn’t like. And as per the female, her EMOTIONAL INCOME comes at the expense of her own SELF-ADMINISTERED FINANCIAL TAX by way of lower financial income.

And to boot, to boot, these same women then complain that they, “earn less” than men, utterly discounting their higher happiness and men’s lower happiness. Such puts a SURTAX onto the already doubly lower male EMOTIONAL INCOME.

Let’s sloganize the, “EMOTIONAL INCOME GAP.” Let’s no longer follow. Let’s out the facts. Let’s set the pace.

Yeah, how dare women go to school. They should be working in coffeeshops.

As a female financially-independent 20 year old who works full-time, and takes college courses almost full time, I am extremely offended by the sentiments of this article and post.
