My ex left me while pregnant, left me from the birth certificate, chose my child's name without my input, and excluded me from seeing my child regularly for the first 10 months of her life.

She has been unemployed for a year, pays no rent, and I contributed 200/month in supplies the baby will need.

My child support is 1/3 of my income, and after taxes, student loans, and the CS payment, I can no longer afford a place to live.

What can I do about this? These circumstances were brought up in court, but no one can force her to work, whereas now I'm forced to work under penalty of jail time. It's complete bullshit, completely biased, and totally unfair and irrational.

For all the talk we do here, and for as long as child support has been recognized as a total racket, I'm basically screwed, as are so many others.
