Good news, but this guy pisses me off:

Union of Fathers president Allan Harvey welcomed the overhaul but said changes could go further. Fourteen per cent of nights in one parent’s care should qualify as “shared care” status - the equivalent of every second weekend.

The goal is to have actual shared care, right? Not to recast EOW as shared care and further normalize that outdated custody model?

Harvey also said family household income, when one of the former partners took a new partner, should be taken into consideration, rather than an individual parent’s.

Nope. Your ex's new new spouse is not responsible for supporting your kids. You and your ex, AND NOBODY ELSE, are responsible for supporting the kids you had together. This kind of thinking comes back to bite support-paying families every time - situations change, jobs are lost, wage earners decide to become SAHPs, custodial household income goes down, and suddenly it's the other household's burden to bear even though they had no part in creating the situation.
