I responded with this...

"hmm, so when a boss tells a man why did I hire you it's meant as a passing comment. Jokingly made but not wholly without substance. Yet the boss says the same thing to her friend "abbie" and suddenly it is a psychological attack on her womanhood, a brotherhood conspiracy of the patriarchy to lessen the equity of women. Ya that's a totally rational response... I love how this fruitcakes response to the "ever increasing burden on women, and their failing psyche" is to completely abolish any negative comments you could possibly make to a female, in and out of the work place. Valid or not. That's some great equality there..."
