What exactly should the Coast Guard to to encourage women to join an a equal rate as men? The same reason that there are not a proportional number of women garbage men is the reason the Coast Guard is mostly male.

I won’t even touch on the fraternization policy or lack of support for service members with children which disproportionately affects more women than men. This in parts often affects a woman’s career. These are just several reasons from dozens more that women does not have the same privileges to succeed in the Coast Guard as men.

What the fuck does that mean? There are more men in the CG and a lot more fathers than mothers, thus this isn't a woman's issue at all. I'm getting the sense the author is just a self-important entitlement princess.

I like how she deals in percentages the entire time rather than in numbers. How many women are there in the Coast Guard? How many men? You can't have half of your leadership be women when they make up less than half of the population. Leadership positions must be earned, not granted in the name of "equality."

The issue of rape in the military is certainly something that needs to be addressed, but has nothing to do with the issue being discussed. Someone needs to take her ADD medication and stay on topic.
