Hi all,

I'm a long time reader and MRA, and I recently had the idea for a series I want to post here as well as others subreddits such as 2X, Feminism, etc.

By "series", I mean a series of posts that are related and sequential in nature. The posts would consist of the conversations I've had with my girlfriend over the past couple of years as we've evolved as people, I've evolved as an MRA, and she's evolved as an Egalitarian. They would also contain the subsequent realizations, compromises, and blunders that we've made in an attempt to open up the dialogue to the masses.

We will remain anonymous, and while people are bound to take sides we do not want to post our conversations in order to gain leverage in any given situation or argument.

The series begins with how we met, began dating, and began arguing. The tl;dr is that I was in an emotionally and physically abusive marriage, divorced, moved away, and met my current girlfriend a few months later - and how my negative experiences were unfortunately taken out on her in the infancy of our relationship.

The reason I'm putting forth this proposal is because I feel that most men and women are simply unaware that we're all pawns in this gender war. I don't mean to imply that most people are wholly ignorant and utterly apathetic. However, I do believe that most people have the types of conversations we have here when attempting to sort through the last 50 years of dialogue, except without all the angst, ire and rage.

I also want to make a genuine effort to help bridge the longstanding and ever-widening gap between us and other subreddits such as /r/feminism. Not that a couple of redditors and a series of posts can patch up everything good as new, but I think it would benefit all of our communities to see genuine people debating these topics one on one as loving individuals willing to move forward with ideas such as the toxic nature of marriage re: men, circumcision, the importance of financial and emotional independence and stability, etc.

It's one thing to see a group of faceless individuals rage against an idea, and I'm still for that, but I think that it would benefit everyone by reading how an MRA and an Egalitarian actually agree, disagree, and discuss such ideas when attempting to maintain and evolve a healthy relationship.

Again, I just wanted to get everyone's opinion here as she and I discuss how best to move forward.

Thank you!
