You can replace "Patriarchy" with 'God' or 'The Devil' for a real laugh. You can try other substitutions like 'Voltron' or 'The Thunder Cats'. Do this the every time you see a comment or submission that has the word "Patriarchy" in it.

Funny because I'm only aware that "cunt" is regarded as exclusively derogatory toward females in North America. In Great Britain it's used much more freely than here, and there it's overwhelmingly directed at men, as in "He's a cunt".

So any claim that the word has "the full force of the patriarchy behind it" strikes me as being slightly myopic.

I rarely use the word, but if it does indeed have the full force of patriarchy behind it i may have to reconsider.
