US men are 6% more likely than women to die of cancer in 2011. (822,300 versus 774,370), but the US government, and Obama administration, with it's focus on women's health, has not even acknowledged that the disparity should be addressed.

In 2008, 21.1 million (18.3%) women smoked in the United States compared to 24.8 million (23.1%) men. That's about 6% right there. Historically, many more men smoked than women previous to 2008.

Similar situation in education. Males outperform females? Something's wrong with the system. Females outperforming males? That's an achievement.

The mentality that causes these disparities and allows them to perpetuate in our society is utter bollocks.

6% isn't really all that much to get up and arms about. What do you expect the US government to be really concerned over balancing something that is within 6% of equality? That's pretty good.

How the FUCK does the US government control who cancer effects? Isn't it based on being predisposed to it mixed with carcinogens followed by random bullshit chance? Mix that with men generally being less likely to go to the doctor over symptoms that seem "minor", so they might not catch cancer until the later stages when symptoms become serious.
