Without boring you with the relationship details, we split up. I work 4x10 shifts and she agreed that she would watch him the days I work, while I watch him the other three days a week she works. We alternate nights, one week I will have him 4 nights, the next week I watch him 3 nights. The days never change, sorry if that confused you. Summary: I ALWAYS watch him 3 days a week, she ALWAYS watches him 4 days a week. We just alternate nights so we can have personal lives as well.

I pay her $30 a paycheck to buy him clothes, whatever he made need when he is with her. She DOES collect food stamps. I also have to buy him food when he is with me and clothes as well. He is out of diapers so that is one less thing we both buy. I decided to be a nice guy and pay our family plan we have without asking her for money, that comes out to about $150 a month. By my estimates I pay her, including her cell phone bill, $135 a month to watch him almost the same amount of time as me.

She just bought a car she knows she cannot afford, and now she is asking me for $250 a month cash, plus her half of the cell phone bill. If this goes to court, what would happen here theoretically? I feel that the arrangement we have works pretty well. The extra cash she is asking me for is not for my son but for her.
