It would be very, very foolish for either partner of this marriage to make any career-related sacrifices for the family—e.g., to raise children, to support the other through schooling, or to move so the other can pursue a job prospect. If that's the way it's going to be, there's not much point to getting married.

It's a shame that certain marriage benefits, like hospital visits, can't be offered between non-married couples (or, hell, platonic friends).

Don't think that is possible. If you are worried about future earnings, don't get married. Just make sure to get a prenup about not having a ridiculous alimony.

Only if you both are earning about the same amount of money, and neither of you ever stops working for any reason, such as raising a child, or due to illness or injury. Otherwise, if you try, it will probably be tossed out in court.

Long answer:

The way prenuptial agreements are presented in television and movies is misleading. It's not a stipulation about what will happen during the marriage, mostly it's an enumeration of the disposition of assets pre-marriage. It would be difficult (if not impossible) to have a prenuptial agreement saying "what I earn is mine, and she gets nothing", much less something preventing the even distribution of the marital assets.

And, since alimony is pretty rare nowadays, that's less a concern.

I'm curious what you mean by this. All assets obtained during a marriage are owned cooperatively. You own half of everything she earns or buys, and vice-versa.

Don't get married unless you're mature enough to recognize your ethical responsibility to the other person for life. Make good choices and marry for love only. Even if it doesn't work out, my spouse is bound to me forever and we will always take care of each other.
